You Talkin' To ME!

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. Today I'm sharing my second project for the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity 'Tweet This' challenge.

It's an octagonal card that I've made for my male cousin (phew one guy card done for this year).

I started by die cutting my top card then stamping and masking my two birds.

Then I inked up the card using distress inks and flicked water.
I stamped the Circles Background on another piece of card, coloured some circles and cut them out.
These are some of my favourite Lost Coast stamps.

To finish off I stuck down the circles and cut a card blank and sewed it all together.
There is still a couple of days to get involved in the challenge so please check out the portal for lots of inspiration.
Have a wonderful day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Easter Card & Tags

Good morning and a very happy Sunday.

Today I'm sharing another card made using the wonderful Relatively Thoughtful Happy Easter collection.

I cut off the strip of eggs from the top of one of the sheets and mounted it onto some black card. Then I fussy cut around it and made it into a pocket for the tags.

I hope you like my card, have a lovely day, and thanks so much for looking xx

Hello Spring

Good morning,  a very happy Sunday, and welcome to Spring! Just one more week and then we'll have lighter evenings too.

I'm having a little change today, and instead of sharing an Easter card, for Relatively Thoughtful, I've decorated a box. So, I now have some pretty storage (which I never have enough of), and I can also display some photos.

The big bundle of fluff is my sister's Labradoodle and the photographs were taken in the Lake District in 2019. Hopefully, we'll all be able to get back there this year.

The papers are from the Happy Easter collection, and they all mix and match perfectly.

I love these birdhouses that I've used for my easel, and I've used elements from the fussy cutting sheets to make my stopper and embellishments.

And here's another look at my cute furry nephew!

I hope you like the box, it's now full of bits and pieces of the collection 'cos I never throw anything away - maybe that's why I always need storage!
Take care and have a very happy week x

Bleeding My Own Blood For Country View Crafts

Good morning and a very happy Thursday. Today I'm over at Country View Towers with my second project for our Mother's Day challenge.

I really thought that I'd cracked it with this style of card, but pride goes before a fall so they say. It also goes before my card falling to pieces, and me sewing through my own finger as I tried to join it all together again!

I started by choosing my lovely papers. These are Stamperia Imagine in both 12x12 and 8x8.

This is how the card looks when it's closed.

And my trusty Mother's Day stamp has been stamped on a leftover scrap.

This is my favourite part. My lovely lady has been cut from the 12x12 pad, and the frame is a Tonic die. I even made a little charm!

I'm really happy with how this one turned out (eventually) and that I didn't bleed all over it!

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Tweet This for Lost Coast Designs

Good morning  and a very happy Tuesday! The 15th is always a new challenge day over at the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity and this time the fun theme is Tweet This!

I started with a piece of glossy card, some Stazon inks, and some blending sponges.
When I'd finished sponging my colours I filled in the gaps with yellow as this went with all the colours I'd used. Take no notice of the brown blob on the bottom right as this will be cut off!

Then I put my card on my stamping platform to make sure I got a good image.
These are my lovely stamps. I've used
Birds Collage Background (Carmen's Veranda)

I hope you like this, and join in with our challenge. Just show us your stamped birds to be in with a chance to win some Lost Coast dollars.

Have a very happy day whatever you're doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Another Bunny To Love

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! Today I'm sharing a card that I made with the beautiful Relatively Thoughtful, Happy Easter collection.

I've just about got my head around these now, 'cos I only had to make it once rather than three times like on my first attempt!

He's another cutie isn't he (or she I'm no rabbit expert lol)

Here is the link to Sally's store   https://www.sallyelvebutlerdesigns.co.uk/shop and there is also a Facebook group   https://www.facebook.com/RelativelyThoughtfulUK which is full of inspiration.

I'm entering my happy bunny into the Allsorts Spring Is In The Air challenge.

I hope you like my card, have a lovely day, and thanks so much for looking xx

Too Much Happy

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm over at the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity with my project for our fun "Round and Round " challenge.

I started with some circus themed designer paper and fussy cut some tickets.

Then I stamped and cut out my dogs and balls from the Circus Dogs Set.

Then it was just a case of getting my dogs to balance on the balls at the same time as juggling, and holding a sign! Who's a clever boy then!

These are my lovely stamps.

Too Much Happy

So it's over to you now. I'm sure you're full of ideas, so please link up and join in with our challenge. Please remember to use real stamps though, no digis allowed.

Have a very happy weekend, and thanks so much for looking x

Mother's Day for Country View Crafts

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday. It's time for a new challenge over at Country View Crafts, and today the lovely Evelyn has chosen Mothers Day.

I started by adding some colour to my card, very roughly using distress inks.

Then using my trusty homemade stencil I added some gesso circles in various sizes.

I've had this Lisa Horton stamp for quite a while, but not used it very often. I thought it would look nice on my colourful background, but it didn't show up too well.

So I added some colour back in with my Distress pens and a little bit of white ink. I also added some stamped circled stitches to add a bit more interest.
My Mothers Day stamp is by Woodware. It may not come out very often but it's a lovely, useful stamp.

This is the Lisa Horton, and Woodware stamp that I've used, and Susan has a great range these goodies here in the store.
This is a fun challenge isn't it, so I hope that you join in!
Have a happy and crafty March, and thanks so much for looking x
