Good morning and a very happy Friday, it's nearly the weekend! Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Ground with my second project for this month, and this time I've made an art cube.

I've used some of my favourite Crafty Individuals bird stamps for this, and Dot has a great range of these here in the store.

It's years since I've made one of these, but it was just something I fancied doing with these fun stamps.

I started by making a very simple 3x3x3 inch cube.

Then stamped, coloured, and die cut my birds. The words and tickets have been added from another Crafty Individuals stamp set. Then it was just a case of adhering the panels to the cube.

There's still loads of time left for you to join in with our challenge, Just use any stamps from ranges that Dot sells in the store.

I have you have a great weekend whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Push Off!

Good morning, and a very happy Sunday. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today I'm over on the Lost Coast Designs Portal To Creativity with my second Sentimentally Yours card.

Those of us who have been allowed to live in the same house as a cat, will know this sentiment to be absolutely true - but only if the cat wanted to, no way is he pushing if he doesn't!

I started by stamping and clear embossing the Carmen's Veranda Compas Square 4 times. Then I dipped and dragged in Distress Oxides in various shades of blue. Blueprint Sketch is my new favourite colour. I could have made an oxide background first and then embossed in white, but I like how the embossing repels the ink if you do this bit first. (And I have a massive tub of clear embossing powder, but only tiny ones of white!)

The idea was to use the map panel in one piece, but decided that it would look nice on black so I chopped it up and layered onto a black background.

Yoga Cat has been stamped, coloured, and clear embossed.

These are my stamps. The sentiment is a great size, and really easy to chop up once stamped.

Yoga Cat

Carmen's Veranda

Compass Square

I hope you like it, and that you join in too with your 'Sentimental' pieces.

It's a Grand Prix weekend, which means that Neil won't notice that I've not been there for hours! 2 hours of chat before (yawn) lot of cars going round and round (even bigger yawn) then let's talk about it and show the highlights after (shoot me now!) So it's into the craft room for me! I hope you have a happy day too whatever you are doing xx

Hey Soul Sister!

Good morning and a very happy Thursday! The 15th of the month is always time for a new challenge over on the Lost Coast Designs Portal To Creativity  and this time it's Sentimentally Yours, where the sentiment has to be prominent.

Skinny cards are all the rage at the moment, and as I'm always at the cutting edge of craft (yeah I'm SO not) I decided to make one of those. For those of us who have been crafting for a little while, these are what we used to call DL cards.
To start, I made my background using the Large Chicken Wire Background stamp and oxide inks.

I do love this fabulous 50's Girl. She's just been stamped with black Versafine and heat dried. Then I coloured with a Distress pen, cut her out and clear embossed her.

This sentiment is the story of my life. I can (and do) fall over my own shadow. I trip myself up, fall over my own feet, and walk into anything within a 3-foot radius! The Carmen's Veranda clear stamp is called Flip Flops, and as you can see, it stamps beautifully.

I have to photograph what I've used, otherwise I forget, but here it all is!

I hope you like her, and that you join in with us over on the Portal. There's the chance to win some Lost Coast dollars to spend in the store. Just remember to use real stamps (no digis allowed) and make sure that your sentiment is prominent.

Have a lovely day, and thanks so much for looking x

It's All In The Cards

Good morning and a very happy Thursday. Today I'm over on the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity with my piece for our fun Numbers challenge.

I started with three huge cards from my deck, these are about 8 inches tall.

For my numbers, I used a couple of Lost Coast borders, Bingo, and Numbers and just cut them out and layered them.

Now it's time for the gnomes! This is the Ace of gnomes, Book Gnome, and I've teamed him with the Carmen's Veranda sentiment Power Of Coffee.

Next, it's the two of gnomes, Sunglasses Gnome which I've put together with Full Ass.

And finally the three of gnomes with Three Gnomes and The Ass Family

These are the stamps that I used,

Bingo

Numbers

Book Gnome

Sunglasses Gnome

3 Gnomes

Power of Coffee

Ass Family

These were great fun to make, I hope you like them and that you join in with our challenge.

Take care and have a very happy day x

Get Your Happy On

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. I hope this week is being kind to you whatever you are doing. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with a Katzelkraft birthday card that I've made for my son's birthday. It's not until next month but as he wouldn't dream of looking at my blog, and he won't be my Facebook friend there's no chance of him seeing it lol.

This is the front.

And this is the inside.

I started by making my base card. The papers are by Craft Consortium and I thought that they went really well with the jungle stamps.

His favourite colour has always been green, I hope that's still the case lol.
Then I stamped and coloured my Katzelkraft stamps. This was fun, but the best bit was that I didn't have to fussy cut them as they are going onto the card in panels.

These are the stamps that I've used, and can be found here in Dot's store.
I hope you like it, and that you join in with our challenge. Just remember to use stamps from any of the ranges that Dot sell.
Thanks so much for looking and have a very happy day x

The Birds And The Bees

Good morning and a very happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend!. For my second Birds and the Bees piece for Country View Crafts I made an 80th birthday card for my Mum's birthday last month. We thought that she would be the only one not to have a lockdown birthday as she just managed to scrape in her celebrations in 2020 - who would have thought that lockdown would still be here in 2021!

This card was made using a Paul Ford tutorial, for which I am eternally grateful 'cos I had no idea what I was going to make until I saw it.

Aren't these Stamperia papers beautiful! I have a few pads that I got to make an album, so I can just about spare a few sheets lol.

I had to do quite a bit of cutting to get everything in the right place, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

This is the front.

And the inside.

And the inside opened out.

I do love the colours on this pad, it's made me want to make the album now.

Please join in with our challenge and show us your birds and/or bees.

Take care and have a crafty weekend x

The Birds And The Bees For Country View Crafts

Good morning and a very happy Thursday. A new month is always time for a new challenge at Country View Crafts, and this time it's been chosen by yours truly. As we are now into Spring, I've gone with "The Birds and the Bees"

I'm ashamed to say that these stamps have never been inked, so now seemed a very good time to remedy that. They really do stamp beautifully.

They were coloured with Distress Markers, something that I don't use as often as I should. These yellow and orange tones were perfect for this piece.
I also added some hexagons cut from a Tim Holtz Thinlits set from some Tell The Bees paper.
Finally, I just cut the centre from the card with an octagon die, and layered it up.
I hope you join in with our fun challenge, just feature birds and/or bees as the main focus of your piece.
Take care, and thanks so much for looking x
