We Want You!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm sharing a top folding card made with the beautiful Royal Navy Heritage collection.

I started by choosing and cutting my layers. I love the gold splodges on the stripey card, so added some more gold splashes of paint myself.

I used the 'sailor' word from one of the atc sheets in the collection, and made a button from the papers. Then it was just a case of layering them all together.

It's not often that I make top folding cards so I'm really happy with this one.

I LOVE the postcards in the collection.

And the ATC words make great embellishments.
It's a really lovely collection, and as always it can be found here in Sally's store in both digital and physical papers.

Dreams At The Beach

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Well it's almost as if Summer has come back, so this card made with the Dreams At The Beach collection from Relatively Thoughtful feels very fitting!

It's a triple stand up card that I've made following a tutorial by Paul Lang-Ford of Papercrafting With Paul. If you click on the link it will take you straight to the tutorial. This was such an easy card to make, but I think that the idea is amazing, so effective!

I started by making my layers and stands. I used a 8x6 top folding card as my base to make it easier to stand up.
These are the papers that I've chosen, the postcards are 6x4 and are all from the Dreams At The Beach collection.
The layers are all cut. I've also used the title from the front sheet from the collection.
And this is how it looks when it's all layered up.

Just look at the dimension here! It has such mantle-piece appeal, yet it comes together really easily. Paul has done all the hard work with the measuring - his tutorials really are excellent.
I was looking for a die-cut for the front, but I really like how the title looks here.
And of course, it all folds flat for posting.
As always the collection is available in Sally's store as both download and physical paper collections.

Take care, have a wonderful day (hopefully in the sunshine), and thanks so much for looking x

In The Navy

Good morning and a very happy Sunday.

I've just received some beautiful new papers from Sally at Relatively Thoughtful, and this one is The Royal Navy Heritage Collection.

Once again I've made a pinwheel tower card as I think that these really show off the papers beautifully.

The collection comes with these beautiful 6x4 postcards so I knew that my card needed to be big enough to take them.
Here's my template. The base card needs to be 10.25 x 6.25, and it's folded at 1, 2, 3, and 4 inches and glued. You also need 3 pieces cut to 6.25 x 4.25.
I always use a good wet glue to make my tower. You'll find this in the store.
Then you just glue the other pieces of card to the tower.
So my postcards are 6x4, and my base card is 6 1/4 x 4 1/4 That means that my matts must fit in between them, so they are cut at 6 1/8 x 4 1/8. The maths is very precise, but my eyesight and trimmer - not to much lol.
There's also a really lovely ATC cut apart sheet and I've used some of these too.
So in no particular order, here's side 1.
Side 2.
Side 3, -I'm loving these ATCs on the left hand side.
And side 4.
The obligatory shot from above lol.
And it all folds flat for posting.

The collection can be found here in the store in both digital and physical collections. The postcards and photographs are amazing!

As always there is amazing inspiration every day on our social pages.

I hope that you have a wonderful Sunday whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x
