No Regrets

Good morning and Happy Sunday. It's my turn today to share a Visible Image 'out of the garage' creation.

I made this right at the start of our 'Grand Design' and it was in the mini heat wave in September. It was sooo hot in our garage - not so much now lol.

Look at all that sunshine! Although I made it a while ago this has very much been a work in progress. The background is Distress paint, and the stamping is from the Revolution set.
The lovely girl is on the relaunched No Space For Dreams plate which now contains the most amazing dream catcher stamp!
Listen to your inner voice has been stenciled, and one of my favourite sentiment plates 'No regrets' is back and will be dispatched from tomorrow!

By take 2 it's Winter, so no daylight for photographs. I think I have SAD syndrome already! I've just got some new Seth Apter dies, so decided to highlight the No Regrets. I forgot to mention my go to Edgy stamp, which can now be found on De-Stressed Backgrounds. I think it's safe to say that I use it on everything!

So take 3 - the final cut, a couple more die cuts, and I'm happy! So listen to your inner voice, and have no regrets! My inner voice just says 'eat the chocolate' or 'buy the stamp' - it's a very easily pleased inner voice.

If your inner voice says 'buy the stamps' they can be found here.
There is new inspiration everyday on our facebook page,
and you can also join in the fun in our show and tell section.

Have a great weekend, and thanks very much for looking xx

Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice

Good morning and Happy Weekend! If anyone has any daylight could you please send me some across, it's nearly 9 o'clock and it's still dark! This month IndigoBlu have a challenge theme of Monochrome, and this is what I've made.

It's definitely not my usual style and it certainly was a challenge!

The photographs came in a bumper bundle from the TV. I've given her a layer of clear gesso and then she's been crackled and sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I also got this beautiful rose stencil, so out it came straight away.

And a doily for goodness sake lol. I really had to dig around to find this, but it was the perfect size for the quote.

I must admit I did miss my colours, but this was a real challenge, so thank you IndigoBlu.

Enjoy your day, your extra hours sleep tonight, and thanks very much for looking x

There Are Always Flowers

Hello and Happy Wednesday. Here is another of my 'out of the freezing cold garage' creations. It was made for the latest PaperArtsy Squares and Grids challenge.

For the first time in years my alcohol inks have had an outing. It's been so long since I had used them that I'd forgotten how to! I was dripping the ink straight onto the card, I'd forgotten that it went onto the felt pad first lol.
The frame is by Tando, and this has been coloured with White Fire Fresco. Then I drew the grid on it, then painted it again.
The stamps are JoFY set 14 and Kim Dellow's Eclectica set 1. I know the butterfly is flying the wrong way up, but he's heading into a strong wind ( if he was the other way up he'd be dead lol)
I really like how this turned out, but I haven't put a sentiment on yet 'cos I'm not sure where it will end up. It's not very often I have a card made without immediately having to send it out.
Have a very happy day, and thanks very much for looking x

Starry Night Meets American Gothic

Good morning and Happy Monday. This is my last Halloween themed piece for this year, 'cos Christmas is coming (not that I'll be making my cards till mid December lol but the intention is there)
I recently won some fabulous Lost Coast Design stamps, so it would be very rude not to play with them.

I started by painting my Tando frame with DecoArt Media paints. Then lots of stencilling with a couple of Andy Skinner stencils.
You can't beat a bit of head swapping for Halloween.
I really like these Andy Skinner stencils with the silver metallic and interference paints. The shrunken skelli heads are shrink plastic.

Here's the whole happy family - even Basil's smiling!

This was great fun to make, so thank you Lost Coast for the fabulous stamps. I'm linking this to their 31 Days of Halloween scary or weird challenge, along with the Dream in Darkness challenge with the same theme.

Right, back in the garage for me, have a great week and thanks very much for looking xx

Let It Snow

Hello and happy Wednesday. Things are going well in my conservatory, I now have a floor and a roof, woo hoo! The bad news is 'cos it's so cold at the moment we have to give the plaster 2 weeks to dry out before we can paint it and I can move back in. So it's another 'out of the garage' creation today!

For the next 2 weeks PaperArtsy have a squares and grids challenge.
For the background I brayered Teresa Green and Hint of Mint onto some smooth card. Then I stamped Darcy's Christmas tree and cut it into squares. I think you can work the rest of it out lol.
The white in the background is just brayered gesso.
This was great fun to make and I hope to be able to join in again.
Thanks very much for looking, and have a great week x

True Love Never Dies

Good morning and happy Tuesday. It's my turn to share my Visible Image project with you today. Although we've not had Halloween yet, I've moved forward to Day of the Dead.

I started by applying lots of DecoArt Multi Surface Satin paints to a chipboard heart, then stencilling over the top. It's looking a bit rough at this stage but it doesn't matter.
I put another stencil over the top then went over again with watered down gesso.

Next I stencilled Day of the Dead with black gesso, and stamped the large stamp from Mr Bone Jangles twice for placement.
I then stamped him onto card and cut him out. Mr and Mrs BJ have been stencilled and even doodled on (yes I doodled!) He's also been stamped onto shrink plastic (baby BJ lol).

My sentiment has been made with my go to label maker. I would be really lost without this!

It would be fab if you shared your Visible Image makes with us in our Show and Tell file on facebook.
There's also loads of inspiration here in our FB group, then there's the blog , and the shop  where you can see all the lovely stamps.

I'm also entering this into the Lost Coast Designs's 31 days of Halloween scary or weird challenge, and Dream in Darkness's creepy or weird (anything but cute) challenge. Though I do think the BJ family are quite cute!

Thanks very much for looking, and have a fun week x

Autumn Paint

Hello and happy Monday. Here is another of my 'out of the garage' creations. The plasterer comes tomorrow so that's another stage closer to me moving back into my craft room. I can't wait as it's getting a bit chilly in that there garage (and I keep falling over the washing powder) lol.
Autumn is well and truly here now, and this is what I've made today.

The background has been made with Dina Wakley masks and Brusho's. The stamps are by Rubber Dance and I think they are wonderful. They just stamp so crisply.

Rubber Dance's colour challenge for October are these lovely Autumnal colours, and Craft Stamper  has an Autumn challenge too.
I'm also entering this in the That's Crafty  clean and simple challenge - still the hardest challenges in the world!
Have a very happy week, and thanks very much for looking x

An Extraordinary Adventure

Hello and Happy Sunday. So, I've got just under an hour to enter my piece into this fortnights PaperArtsy challenge. As we're having a new roof put onto my craft room (conservatory) I'm now crafting in the garage, and just grab a few minutes where I can as we have lots of builder coming and going. So excuses made for my lateness, here's my piece.

I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I definitely wanted to join in the die cuts challenge, so I just pulled out lots of circles and background stamps and Fresco's in blues, greens, and greys.

I though I would do an 8x8 piece, but when I saw how many stamps I had out I decided to go 12x12. This is a first for me, I've never gone this big before!
The die cuts are all Seth Apter dies, and it's their first time out of the packet. I must admit I really like them, they are different to any of my other dies.

These are some of my very 1st Paper Artsy stamps, and I still love them.

Right I need to go now and link this up! Thanks very much for looking, and have a great week x

Knock Knock

Good morning, happy Thursday, and Happy Birthday to me! I'm now officially a very old bird but never mind eh!
I'ts my turn to share my second piece for the Country View Crafts Spooky challenge, so you know the routine, lots of piccies, and not so many words.

You can tell I made this a while ago, it was still the middle of Summer. All the paints and mediums are by DecoArt and the stamps are by Stampendous.
The door has been painted front and back with DecoArt Americana Chalky Finish paint in white and blue to give a peeled paint effect.
Then a coat of Quin Gold Media Acrylic to age it.
Lots more washes of Media Acrylic to give it a more worn effect.
Time to stamp now, this is by Stampenedous, and it been painted with more media paint.
The stamp around the edge is also by Stampendous and it's called Chilling.
On the reverse of the door I stencilled the Andy Skinner stencil with white Modelling Paste and stamped with Andy Skinner stamps.
A little bit more stamping.
This is my favourite bit, I wanted my Skeleton Lady to be there when you opened the door, so she's been stamped on acetate and highlighted with a white gel pen.
I love that you can see right through her. Little things and little minds lol.
This is how it looks with the door shut, kind of spooky....

Well done, you've made it to the end, give yourself a badge!
Please join in with our spooky challenge, there's a chance to win £20 to spend in the shop.

I'm also entering this into the Lost Coast Designs Scary or Weird challenge, and Dream In Darkness anything goes (except cute).

Thanks very much for looking and have a very happy (or spooky) week xx

Making Magic

Good Morning and happy Wednesday. A really quick post from me today while we still have the internet. Our phone has been really crackly for a while, and we keep losing the internet, so someone from BT is coming out today. Hopefully he will fix it or maybe we will be plunged into a black hole, unable to communicate with the outside world - we'll have to talk to each other yikes! :-)
Anyway Indigo Blu have a challenge of Autumn Wildlife, and this is what I've made.

I've just used stamps from this set, I must admit it only comes out at this time of year.
I've painted the shrine with acrylic paints, and the bird on the books makes a perfect texture stamp. The paints are all DecoArt Media and I just used tiny amounts to let them all show through.
And my wise old owl has been given a wash of acrylic. Diazoxide Purple and Primary Magenta are my favourite colours for this week lol.

I'm also linking this to the Craft Stamper MITI Autumn challenge.

I hope you have a magical day too, and thanks very much for looking x

Thriller

Good morning and happy Tuesday. As Halloween draws closer I've been having a play with my Visible Image stamps and monoliths and this is what I've made.

The monolith has been painted with black gesso. They are so smooth and paint beautifully. Then I've added some silver paint through a stencil, and stamped Rays of Light and covered with gilding flakes in gold and silver.
The blood is of course real... actually it's nail varnish - this is the closest I've got to wearing it for years although technically I do paint my nails quite often!
The varnish has been painted direct, and also on a Seth Apter die cut.

Time for Mr Bone Jangles to make an appearance. I couldn't manage jazz hands but I've given him a sparkly hat instead.

I've typed the words - I think it's time to change the ribbon on my old typewriter!

Mr B J has a sparkly base too with one of the smaller stamps from Rays of Light. This set is coming back in a couple of weeks with new additions including a fabulous 'Sparkle' sentiment.

This was great fun to make, not just because I love the smell of nail polish!
I'm entering this into the That's Crafty All of a Sparkle challenge,  Lost Coast Designs Scary or Weird,  Dream in Darkness anything goes except cute, and A Vintage Journey Make it Spooky.

You can find lots more Visible Image inspiration on our
Facebook page where your can join in with our 'show and tell' for the chance to win £25.00 to spend in the shop.

Thanks very much for looking, and have a great week x

New Beginnings

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's my turn to share my Visible Image project with you today. Cast your mind back a couple of weeks when it still seemed like Summer, and we had lots of butterflies.

I love making pages for my tag book, but it's now officially full, so this is the first page of my new tag book!

I started by brayering a background.

Then I cut out my tags, and added some stamping. I've used
The Ripple Effect and
Universal. These stamps look beautiful covered in paint, but I did clean them afterwards,  honestly!

Then I stamped and cut out the big butterfly from Butterfly Beginnings and used it as a stencil to stamp the words from Revolution.

Added some stencilling with Portfolio pastels, and I'm ready to start with the butterflies.

These are the small butterfly from Butterfly Beginnings, and are stamped on acetate and vellum. There's also Tando board, embossing powder and bling - lots of bling!
The sentiment is from the same set and I've just stamped, embossed and sewn around it.  I've layered the butterflies up as I'd made quite a few and I didn't want to waste any!

Don't forget you can share your Visible Image projects with us in the album on our Facebook page.
You can visit the blog here for lots of inspiration, and all the goodies are in the shop.

I'm also entering this into the That's Crafty challenge, which is asking for a touch of bling.

Have a great week, and thanks very much for looking x
