My Gelli Prints Album All Done!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! This week I've been playing with my Gelli Art Prints journal and I've been making some bits and bobs.

This is where we left it last week with my pages cut and stitched to different sizes.
I've cut out some tags with my Graphic 45 dies.
I've also made some photo mats, and file folders, and there are the tags and Rolodex cards from previous projects.
These are my 6x6 pocket pages.
And these are whopping 9x6 pockets!
Here they are in the journal. I've just made a little hinge for the tag so that it slides straight in!.
My 3x3 pages look so cute with the additional tags and file folder.

And the Rolodex cards look good on the covers.
It was never my intention to finish the album. I just wanted something that I could pick up and create in when I had a few spare moments.
The collection is available in Sally's store in both digital and physical formats.
As always there is daily inspiration on our social pages

Thanks so much for looking and have a very happy weekend x

Follow Your Heart

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday.! Today I'm back at Country View Towers with my second project for our Vintage challenge.

I started by inking up a piece of card and then stamping my huge Stamperia Vintage Map stamp.

Then I stamped it again on some velum and heat embossed it in gold. I cut out various elements, and tore around others, then added them to the background.

Here is the very dapper Sir Vagabond. He's been stamped then coloured with Prisma pencils. I've added some extra cogs to his goggles.

I've added some glossy accents to his watch and goggles, and we're all done!

All things Stamperia can be found in Susan's store, and here are the stamps that I've used.

Live Every Moment

Good morning and a very happy Sunday.

Today I'm back at Relatively Thoughtful Towers, and again I've been using the beautiful Gelli Art Prints 12x12 and 8x8 collections. This time I've made a journal.

I used the Eileen Hull Traveller journal dies, which I've had for years but not used for ages (that's a bit of a common theme with all of my stash)
I wanted a journal with pages that I could take out so this fits the bill perfectly.
I have lots of different sized pages, ranging from 3x3 to 8x8 and 9x6.
This one is a full 12x12 sheet. It's just been folded in half and then in half again. I sewed it down the centre to make two pocket pages.
These sheets are from the 8x8 collection. I've made a hinge and attached the 8x8 sheets to it.
The pages have been sewn around 3 sides with the tops being left open to form pockets.
These are two full 12x12 sheets. I cut them down to 9x12.
I stitched the 9x12 down all 4 sided and straight through the middle.
I folded the remaining 12x3 strips in half and in half again and glued and stitched them together to form 2 3x3 folded pages.
This is how they all look in the journal.
I've used a piece of Little Birdie chipboard on the front cover.
The collections are available here in Sally's store in both digital and physical formats.
As always we have new inspiration every day on our social pages.

Have a wonderful day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Tag It On

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm sharing some tags made with the wonderful Gelli Art Prints collection from Relatively Thoughtful.

These were really simple to make. First of all I just cut some tags with a Tim Holtz die. The eagle-eyed among you may notice that the 3 I started with were not the 3 that I ended up with. People say that there are no mistakes in art - tell that to the big blue filing cabinet under my desk lol.
For this one, I added some stencilling with white acrylic paint to knock it back a little. Then I just added some stamping.
This is such a lovely gentle colour so no knocking back required.
I think this one may be my favourite. I added so stencil paste through a stencil, and then once dry I sanded it back a little. I love how the sanded edges look, and certainly wasn't going to cover it up with any stitching.
Once the tags were done I dyed some seam binding to match and we're all done.
The papers come in both digital and physical formats and can be found here in Sally's store. There's also a fun challenge running this week for the chance to win the digital collection so please join in.
As always there is new inspiration every day on our socials and we hope to see you over there.
Have a wonderful day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Tag Along

Good morning and a very happy Thursday - can you believe it's June already!! I know the older you get the quicker the year goes, but I think I must be a teenager throughout the 19 months of Winter, and then here we are in June.

Anyway, speaking of old, the new challenge over at Country View Crafts this month is 'Vintage', and here's my first piece. Look it stands up and everything, little things....

These stamps would qualify as vintage both in their style, and also in the length of time I've had them!

These were really easy to make, so I don't know why it took me all day, or why it looked like I'd been burgled afterwards - just lucky I guess! I started by inking my backgrounds with Distress Oxides - I really like the 'vintage' bright pink!

Then I just stamped with a similar coloured Wendi Vecci archival ink. I have 9 stamps so one had to go twice so I could stick 'em all back to back.

Here's the other side. Spot the brown tag with the blue ribbon - you can't have everything!

So over to you now, please join in with our challenge for a chance to win a £20.00 gift certificate to spend in the store.

Take care, have a very happy June, and thanks so much for looking x
