An Envelope Album For Relatively Thoughtful

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. It's Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK which means that I don't have to get up ridiculously early tomorrow for my swim!

Today I'm sharing an envelope album that I made with Karola's fabulous Gelli Art Print papers from Relatively Thoughtful.

I started by cutting my papers to 10x10 and making them into envelopes.

Then I stuck the envelopes together to form my album.

I applied washi tape to the edges and sewed all around to make sure it all stays together.

Each opening has a 6.25 photo mat inside.

Bits of stamping and some inserts on the envelope flaps.

And it's all tied together with pretty ribbon!

The digital version of the prints can be found here in the store, and the physical papers are here in 6x6, 8x8, and 12x12.

Have a lovely long weekend whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

An Accordion Card For Relatively Thoughtful

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! Today I'm sharing an accordion card that I made using the beautiful Gelli Art Print papers designed by Karola for Relatively Thoughtful.

All three pages (5x5) were cut from the same sheet of 12x12 paper. Then I added some background stamping in the same colours as the paper, along with some texture paste.

People sometimes ask why I sew everything, I just think it adds a nice frame.

This is how the card looks opened out.

I love these gorgeous lady stamps by Stamperia!

I have loads of dresses just like this one! 🤣🤣

I really like how the Dina Wakley script stamp looks in the background.

The paper versions can be found here in 6x6, 8x8, and 12x12.

The digital version can be found here.

I hope you like my card and all the inspiration that can be found here on our Facebook page.

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking xx

Born To Stand Out

Good morning and a very happy Saturday! Today I'm happy to be sharing my second project for our silhouette challenge over at Lost Coast Designs, and this time it's a page in my hand made Lost Coast album.

I started by roughly inking a background on some card.

Then I added some white acrylic stars using my homemade star stencils.

Then I added some more stencilling using pastel coloured paints.

Then lots of stamping. I've used my lovely ballerina, and also the silhouette angel around the sides.

And this is how she looks when she's added to my album. Where else could you get to see a silhouette ballerina next to Carmen Mooranda!

These are the lovely stamps, I've used;

I hope that you like this, and also that you join in with our fun challenge.

Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for looking x

A Crazy Silhouette Card For Lost Coast Designs

Good morning and a very happy Monday. As always the 15th of the month is time for a new challenge at Lost Coast Designs, and this time around it's one of my favourites, Silhouettes.

I started by brayering a background on my journal page with Fresco paints.

Then I added some stencilling with white.

And finally some gold with a piece of balled up copier paper.

Now it's time for some stamping! I had to do this on a stamping platform to make sure that I could keep inking and re-stamping over the acrylic background.

These are my fabulous stamps, I've used

I hope you join in with us over on the Portal, what's not to love about a silhouette challenge!
Have a lovely week whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking xx

A Happy Heart For Relatively Thoughtful

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm sharing a wooden heart that I made with the beautiful Gelli Art Print papers by my teamie Karola for Relatively Thoughtful.

I started by attaching a sheet of the 12x12 paper to a wooden heart with gel medium and sanding away the edges. Then I added some stencilling with paint and Izink Ice.

Then I die cut a smaller heart and added more texture paste and a piece of lace.

The sentiment is a Dena Wakley stamp and I thought that it fitted in perfectly with the stencilling.

The bird is also a Dina stencil.

Aren't these papers beautiful, so much colour!

These papers can be found here in the store, in both digital and physical paper format.

A Mini Album For Relatively Thoughtful

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! Today I'm sharing a mini-album that I made with a fabulous new paper collection from Relatively Thoughtful, and these have been designed by my teamie Karola.

I started by cutting the 12x12 papers in half and then sticking and sewing them back to back so that my pages were double-sided.

Then I embellished them with stencilling and texture paste.

There's also stamping and die cutting.

I love how the different-sized pages look together.

And how the dark stencilling looks against the bright backgrounds.

These papers die cut beautifully too!

Just look at these colours!

The collection is available here in the store in  8x8 digital, and

6x6 8x8 & 12x12 paper versions.

I hope you like my book, and please check out these papers for yourself.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you are doing x

It's All About The Background!

Good morning and a very happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for our Backgrounds In Focus challenge at Lost Coast Designs, and I think this one holds the record for the most stamps used by me on a card lol.

I've been seeing lots of retiform lately, with some beautiful examples from my blogging friend Angela (Felix The Crafty Cat). I must admit, I'd no idea how it was done, but I knew that I liked it. So, much YouTube watching later I decided to give it a go!

I made my grid with a blue distress ink and a blender.

Then I added some stamping - LOTS of stamping. I really like how these two colours look together.

I told you I used a lot of stamps!

These are the ones that I've used;

Pieces of Caligraphy

Leonardo Accessories

Steampunk Fly Girl

Steampunk Icarus

Steampunk Pony

Misc Words

CV Leonardo Man

There's still lots of time to join in with our challenge, so please get stamping and remember to keep the Background In Focus.

I'm entering my card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Happy Birthday challenge.

Take care, and thanks so much for looking x
