Good morning and happy Sunday. It's new challenge day over at Country View Crafts, and this time the lovely Jane has chosen 'In The Summer Garden' Here's what I've made.
I started with a Paper Artsy hanger and stencilled through with texture paste and beaded texture paste. When dry I coloured it with Distress Paints. I also painted some Wendi Vecchi chipboard with the paints. It's been ages since I've used these so it was good to get them out again.
Next I splattered with black and white paint, and drizzled some liquid amber along the stencil lines. This is amazing stuff, it's not too runny that it goes all over the place, but you can guide it.
I added lots of glass beads and Prima Patina pastes to my chipboard.
I love how the fly looks, but it's also kind of freaky!
Here's a close up of the amber and the glass texture gel.
It's over to you now, please join in with our challenge and show us your Summer Gardens. As always there's a gift certificate to spend in the store for a lucky winner.
Have a happy Summer, and thanks very much for looking x
