Some Bunny To Love

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. It's time for my third project for Relatively Thoughtful using the fabulous Happy Easter collection, so here we have....a box of rabbits!

Yes my favourite grumpy bunny is back, and this time he's brought the family!

These 'box' cards were all the rage a few years ago and it's been ages since I've made one, but I thought the fussy cutting elements would go well here.

And it still folds flat to go in the envelope!

I had great fun making this, and because you can buy as a physical collection or a download you can fussy cut to your heart's content!

Take care and have a wonderful day whatever you are doing xx

There Is No Beauty Without Some Strangeness

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! The latest challenge over at Lost Coast Designs is Vintage/Steampunk, and I've taken us under the Steampunk sea.

My teamie Iona is the queen of masking, and I decided that I really should do this more. So, I stamped my punky creatures on some heavy-duty mixed media paper, and made my masks.

Then I dipped and dabbed in Distress Oxides. Time for the great reveal....

Phew it worked, I now have my steampunk fish and seahorse ready to colour.

These have been coloured with paint pens and pencils. If I'm really honest, I'm much happier to stamp and fussy cut rather than mask, so I can't see myself doing this again in the near future.
I've finished off with some white embossing, and some rusty Frantage. The quote is by Edgar Allan Poe and I thought it fitted in quite well. Then I've just sewn it into my journal.

These are the stamps that I used

I hope you like it, and that you join in with our challenge.

Enjoy your weekend, and thanks so much for looking x

More Bunny Love

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. I'm back with my second make for Relatively Thoughtful, and this is the matching card to last week's project.

Once again there's lots of lovely images to fussy cut. Obviously, I can't have favourites, but if I did this grumpy bunny would be one of them lol.

As I mentioned last week Paper Crafting With Paul has a fun Multi Make challenge, so here are my two cards together.

Before you ask, of course I've already eaten the mini eggs!

She Said Yes!

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday. Today I'm back over at Country View Crafts with my second project for our Hearts and Flowers challenge.

This card is very personal to me as my son and his girlfriend (now fiancee) are now engaged!

I love this paper! It's by Craft Consortium and it's actually from one of their Christmas collections, but I thought it was perfect for an engagement card.

This is the inside of the card. All of the papers are double-sided so they all mix and match.
When Chris saw the cute Crafters Companion bears he knew immediately that I'd had to buy this especially as cute bears isn't really my thing lol. I think he was remembering his birthday card where I was a mermaid and he was the PaperArtsy 'Fish Eye Guy' as he calls him!
The banner die is by Lisa Horton, and I snipped it into this shape.
Susan also has a range of Craft Consortium papers here in the store.
I'm very happy to say that they both liked their card - maybe I'll be able to work 'Fish Eye Guy' into their wedding card 😂
Take care, have a great week, and thanks so much for looking x

Easter Is Coming

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! I'm really happy to be sharing my first project as Guest Designer for Relatively Thoughtful. These papers are beautiful, and such a great quality - I would definitely call them card. I've been using the Happy Easter collection, and this comes as a A4 In Your Hand set,  and also as a digital collection.

Those of you who follow Papercrafting With Paul will recognise the layout of my card from his latest challenge, and I'll be sharing the second card next week.

Isn't this bunny adorable! You can buy the fussy cutting selection as real papers and digital too so you need never be without rabbits!

I hope you like my card, have a lovely day, and thanks so much for looking xx

Rise and Shine!

Good morning and a very happy Friday. Today I'm over on the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity with my second project for our Think Pink challenge.

I started by making a background on my gelli plate using inks and Brusho's. You can see the gaps on the print where I haven't cleaned my gelli plate but I quite like these, so they're staying lol (and no, I still haven't cleaned my plate!)
I added some stamping (in pink of course) using my new 'Pieces of Caligraphy' stamp plate, and added some stencilling and some embossing powder in the corners.
Then I inked up and stamped my tags.
I sewed my background and tags onto a journal page, and quite liked how it looked, but it still needed finishing off....
So I added some (pink) texture paste through a stencil to tie in the background with my image and sentiment. I also photographed it in the 10 minute daylight window that we had! This gives a much better idea of the true colours.

These are the stamps that I've used
Please join in with our fun challenge and link up on the Portal. As we are a stamping challenge please remember, no digis allowed!
Have a very happy day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Pretty In Pink

Hello, I'm back again as it's also time for a new challenge at Lost Coast Designs. This time around the fun theme is Think Pink or Shades of Red, and to kick us off I've made a page for my Lost Coast journal.

I started by making my pink background with some Distress Inks.

Then I stamped my Winged Girl and Hope from the dictionary words. I used two different inks, but it turns out that they are both pretty much the same colour!

I've added glitter to her wings and the pillars.

Then stitched her into my album.

These are the stamps that I used.
Hope &
Please pop across to the Portal for lots more inspiration, then join in with our fun challenge, what could be easier, just think pink!
Have a lovely week whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

It's All Hearts And Flowers For Country View Crafts

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge over at Country View Crafts, and to celebrate love and romance the lovely Jane has chosen Hearts And Flowers as our theme.

I've recently bought the beautiful Crafters Companion Masquerade Ball 12x12 paper pad and I'm using one of the sheets from this.

I thought that the pattern was duplicated top and bottom, but it is slightly different. Still perfect for layering up though.

The cards that I have are HUGE, nearly 12 inches long, so as you can see there's lots of room for my Tim Holtz hearts die.

This is my base layer all done and stitched into place. Hearts and flowers - check.
And these are the bits and bobs to layer up. I've die cut some feathers and foliage, and glittered some of the roses.

Then I've added it all to the base layer with some silicone glue. I love silicone, you can just poke the bits in and they will dry in place.

These are the dies that I've used - some of these are really oldies but goodies. Just click on the links to see what Susan has in the store.
Please pop over to the Country View Crafts blog to see all of the inspiration from my teamies, and then join in yourself. Please remember we want to see both hearts and flowers on your creations.
Have a very happy February, and thanks so much for looking x
