It's A Wrap!

Good morning and a very happy Thursday - it's nearly the weekend yay!

Today I'm over at the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity, and for my second project for our 'It's A Wrap' project I made another gift bag. (In fact, I made this one first ) but this time I've stamped directly onto the bag.

I started with a regular craft bag (these are so strong so perfect for presents)
I began by splattering with watered down acrylic, then stamped the lovely Megans's Christmas Bird and Christmas Lights. The lights have been coloured with Posca pens, and the bird with Prisma pencils. I did get a bit carried away with the red pencil, but a Christmas Robin needs to be red right?
I'd be lost without my Misc Words, these two just finish off my bag perfectly.

These are the stamps that I used (I told you that I splattered paint)

Megan's Christmas Bird
Misc Words  and Carmen's Veranda

I hope you like it, and that you join in with our challenge this month.
Take care and have a very happy day x

A Toadally Happy Birthday

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with my second project for this month, and it's a fun Katzelkraft birthday card.

This is quite an unusual one for me in that the base card is the only real layer and the background is stamped directly onto it. Usually, I have lots of layers, so if anything goes wrong I've not lost everything.
Also, I've added the sentiment right at the beginning, 'cos last time I made a card like this I didn't leave enough room for it!
So, the base card has been stamped and put aside to dry. I just love the water drops stamps, they look so dimensional just stamped in black.
Then I coloured the torn paper outline and water drops with my weapon of choice, which was Prisma pencils. I then cut out the holes, and added a layer of acetate to the card to stiffen it up.

I coloured my lovely frogs with Prisma pens and pencils.
This is Lord of the Frogs sat on his lily pad just waiting for a tasty morsel to fly by. His froggy bodyguard doesn't look too impressed!

I like how the images look just sitting on the acetate!

And here they are sitting amongst the foliage.

These are the stamps that I've used, and Dot has an amazing selection of Katzelkraft stamps here in the store.
I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are doing, take care, and thanks so much for looking x

Bagged and Tagged for Lost Coast Designs

Good morning and a very happy Monday! It's the start of a new challenge today at Lost Coast Designs, which is 'It's A Wrap' I've made a gift bag and tag (eventually)

I started with just short of an A3 piece of tea-bag paper and added some brushos. At this point I wanted to make a sheet of wrapping paper.

Then I stamped the lovely Mistletoe Goth. I tried to place her face in the lighter areas - it didn't always work lol.

Then I stamped some Christmas words from my favourite Misc Words stamp. I coloured her with my Prisma pencils and added touches of glitter.

Very icy, brrrrrr.

At this point I decided that I probably wouldn't use it as wrapping paper, so I added a piece to a gift bag and made a matching tag.

These are the Lost Coast stamps that I used;

Mistletoe Goth

Misc Words

I hope that you like it, and that you join in with our challenge - please remember that we are a stamping challenge so no digi images!

Have a very happy week, and thanks so much for looking x

A Patchwork Christmas

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday. Today I'm back at Country View Crafts with my second project for our Christmas Gifting challenge. This time I've made some huge gift tags, which can then be used as bookmarks.

These have all been made from my wonderful Stamperia Christmas Patchwork goodies. I absolutely love these papers and stamps, and the chipboard is just beautiful! I bought the Make A Wish collection a couple of years ago. I thought that Stamperia had just re-named the collection as Christmas Patchwork but these are actually the papers from the 22 sheet collection that are not in the standard Make A Wish set. I'm really happy that there is now an 8x8 pad, and if there's suddenly an international shortage - well it might be me!

I Started by cutting some giant tags from my 8x8 pad and sponging the edges with Stamperia paint.

I stamped the sentiment from my old rubber stamp set. I think the updated version are clear stamps, but I'm sticking with these!

Then I just mounted the paper onto some thick black card, added an image from the chipboard pack, and stuck on a sentiment.

I love this Christmas tree.

But my favourite, is of course, the cat!
All things Stamporia Christmas Patchwork can be found here in the store.
I hope you like them, and that you join in with our challenge - please remember, no cards!
Have a very happy week, and thanks so much for looking x

We're All Divas Darling!

Good morning and a very happy Thursday. Today I'm back over at the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity with my triptych for our Art Dolls and Divas challenge.

I started by inking up my tags with Distress Inks.

Then I added some stenciling and background stamping. At this point I joined them all together with some washi tape and stitched it down. This now means that the tags are free standing.

Then I stamped my trio of lovelies (yours will come all in one stamp, I really must stop chopping mine up lol) I stamped the three words onto card to ground them.

This is what I've used.

This was great fun to make, and I hope you like it.
Take care, and have a very happy day whatever you are doing x

Ooh Look, It's That Book Again

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with - yes you've guessed it, a couple of pages in my Art By Marlene Concertina Album.

You may remember that a couple of months ago I completed one side of the album. I walked away for a little while, but now it's time to tackle the other side!

Last time I did the whole background in one go, but this time I'm doing the pages as I use them. For my first two I just used some Distress Inks to make some sand, sea, grass, and sky.

I added a bit of stenciling, then stamped directly into the book for placement.

Then I stamped the images again, coloured them with my Prisma pencils and cut them all out.

And here we are, all done! I really enjoyed colouring with my pencils, I find them much easier than alcohol markers (though of course I have a huge box full of those too lol)

These are the Art By Marlene and Lavinia stencils that I've used, and of course Dot has a huge stock of both here in the store.
I hope you like it, who knows maybe I'll get this side done in under a year lol.
Thanks so much for looking, take care, and a very happy November x

It's In The Bag for Country View Crafts

Good morning and a very happy Monday! I hope you had a lovely weekend, and now it's November - how did that happen! So we're halfway through Strictly and Bake Off, and that can only mean one thing, Christmas is coming.

The new challenge this month at Country View Crafts is Christmas Gifting (definitely not a card), so I've made a gift bag.

It's just a plain kraft bag, but it's so sturdy, it will definitely take a Christmas present.

I started by spattering with some watered down white acrylic paint to give a snowy feel.

I tried stamping the sentiments directly onto the bag, but they really didn't show up enough, so I stamped them onto white card and cut them all out.

The Christmas tree is made up from Lisa Horton triangle dies and papers.

And there we are, all done. The tree has been stuck down with foam tape so it stands out nicely from the bag.
This was great fun to make, and it will definitely come into use this year.

This is what I've used, and all things Lisa Horton can be found here.

Have a very happy month, and thanks so much for looking x
