Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This

Good morning and a very happy Monday. We have a fun new challenge today over at Country View Crafts chosen by the lovely Rachel, and it's silhouettes. Here's my first piece, a giant tag.

I started by making a watercolour background with lots of Oxides in my favourite shades of blue.
Then I chose some of my favourite Tim Holtz dies that would work well as silhouettes. Some of these are quite(very) old!
This was actually one of the projects that came together really easily. I had cut some other dies too, but it was too busy, so settled on just the 3.
The words were just printed off on my computer. I hope you're singing along now!
And this has now gone in my huge tag book.
I really enjoyed this challenge, it made me think, and it's not often that I make something without any stamping.
I hope that you can join in with us, just remember to use silhouettes as your main focus.
Have a very happy month, take care, and thanks very much for looking x

  8. Ah the divine Annie Lennox and the always brilliant Eurythmics - I shall be singing this all day now! What a great tag and the tag book is looking amazing.

On the weather front... It depends where you are in Europe!! Leandra of PaperArtsy who has moved everything to the Dordogne in France is getting much better than UK weather at the moment. Here in the Czech Republic we're further east (and also at a higher elevation and therefore colder in the area where I am) so it's colder for longer... but also hotter, drier summers for the most part. So it's swings and roundabouts!

  16. You got me thinking of that tune now too but not the original i'm more the Marilyn Manson type hee hee.. Isn't it fab when we can get out those rare TH dies and use them again, I love those timeless classics. Really like how you teamed them up, they all work hand in hand, Fabulous giant tag and a great theme, I must try and get my think cap on too and come and play before another month is consumed.
