An Altered Phone Holder

Good morning and happy Easter.  Can you believe it's April already? I hope no-one's made a fool of you today! It's time for a new challenge at Country View Crafts, and I'm really happy with Evelyn's choice - Pimp it Up (re-use or alter something). This is what I've made.

It's a little phone holder for my mobile. It cost a pound, and it's brilliant 'cos when my phone's in here I know where it is - not that I'm saying my craft room is untidy, or that a lose my phone 50 times a day, perish the thought!

I was in two minds whether to take it apart or not. I knew that it would make it easier to paint, but I didn't want it to be hard to put back together. Luckily these DecoArt Media Acrylics are so fluid that there was still plenty of room to slot it all back together. I just used these 3 colours and lots of Tinting Base.

I've used Visible Image stamps, this horse is an old favourite of mine, and the store has a really good selection here

I've just stamped and embossed with black embossing powder and added a few white pen highlights.
I really enjoyed this challenge and I hope that you join in too. You have all of April to get altering! Have a fun month, and thanks very much for looking xx

  4. So you're like me, you DON'T look for your phone 50 times a day... I think I need one of these holders! Great transformation, it looked a bit bland to start with, now it befits a crafter's!

  10. Oh I love this Sue! I totally relate to not being able to find my phone when I'm crafting - but I like the idea of actually having a place to keep it (where the phone can be found). This is a great idea Sue.
