All Things Bright And Beautiful

Good afternoon and happy Monday. The very lovely Tracy Evans is running a challenge over on her face book group, and it's to make a concertina card. This couldn't have come at a better time for me as my crafting has hit a bit of a post Christmas slump. I think it was doing the same old same old for the Christmas cards, so I was really happy to make something new - in fact this was the first inking for some of the stamps, and it's AGES since I made a concertina card.

I started by choosing my stamps from my collection of Tracy's border stamps.

These are the paints that I got in my last ScrawRbox, and it's the first time out for these too.

So here they are after their first stamping and painting. I used heavy watercolour card as I knew that they would be having lots of water added. The card stood up to it really well, but I was very gratefull to my stamping platform for the stamping. It didn't help that my ink pad needed re-inking either lol.

Here they have had some glossy accents added and the sentiments have been stamped onto brown paper. They all stamped beautifully onto the smooth paper .

I wanted to add some paperclips to one of the images, but my office supplies have really dwindled since I gave up work, and the only ones I had were blue plastic! Luckily I still had some Tim Holtz Distress embossing powders (does anyone else still have these) and they were just perfect for what I needed.

So here we are, all done.

And it still folds up nicely, and just about fits into an envelope (with a bit of a push)
Thanks so much Tracy, I really enjoyed making this.
I'm entering my card into the Craft Stamper TIMI challenge for January, and the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  challenge which is Fun With Florals.
Have a very crafty week, and thanks so much for looking x

  4. You used some fabulous stamp sets for your accordion Sue and I love how you coloured the images and those borders you added are such a lovely finishing touch. Yes, I do have loads of Tim's embossing powders but it didn't stop me investing in the new Distress Glazes he showcased today - there is no hope for me!! Hugs, Anne xx
