Happy Easter

Good morning and a very happy Sunday.

Today I'm sharing an Easter card made with the fabulous Happy Easter collection from Relatively Thoughtful. This was my very first collection and it's still one of my favourites.

First of all, I chose my papers, I only need a couple as I'll be using the Easter egg panel from the yellow one as a separate layer.
Then I cut my panels and some backing mats.

Obviously I need to use my favourite grumpy bunny again. I fussy-cut him, then added him to some black card and tried to cut a neat border. This makes him pop against the background and also gives the topper a lot more strength.

There, that's as good as it gets lol.
He looked a little bit lost in the centre of my card, so I cut a couple of tags to go with him.

And this is how he looks! I gave him a stamped sentiment and a bit of sisal to make his nest. I think I may have got rabbits confused with chickens!
Maybe this is why he looks so grumpy, rabbits don't live in nests!
Anyway, I think he looks rather dapper here.
The collection can be found here in Sally's store in both digital and paper formats. There are also new additions this year so it really is the collection that keeps on giving.
As always this is new inspiration every day from my teamies, and this can be found on our social pages.
I hope you are enjoying the weekend, and thanks so much for looking x

Happy Mother's Day

Good morning and a very happy Mother's Day!

Here's the card I made for my mum with the beautiful Independent Women papers from Relatively Thoughtful.

Don't these look fabulous when combined with Stamperia's Provence die cuts.

I started by choosing my papers (I love the pop of yellow against the purples). Then I cut and sewed my layers.
Then I cut out my images from a cut-apart sheet and inked all the edges. I wanted to make some flowers to go with the die cuts.

I gave all the cutouts a coating of clear embossing powder to make them a little sturdier, together with a little bit of fine glitter. Then I layered up my flowers.

This is how it looks when closed.

And this is the inside.

And the inside of the inside lol.

These panels are from a cut-apart sheet in the Stamperia Provence collection. These are also available in the Relatively Thoughtful store.

And this is how my flowers turned out.

The collections can be found here in Sally's store.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend, I shall be venturing into my still chilly craft room while Neil falls asleep in front of the Grand Prix clutching the remote as if his life depended on it!

Take care and have a happy, crafty week x

Number 1 Dad !

Good morning and a very happy Monday.

Today I'm sharing my second project for the Country View Crafts Masculine Birthday challenge, and this time it's a card for my No 1 Dad!

I started by making a background with a stencil and some Distress Oxides.
Then I added some stamping with a Katzelkraft set.

These are my characters, all stamped, fussy cut, and ready to go!

Susan has a great range of fun Katzelkraft stamps here in the store.
I hope you like our challenge and that you join in with your own birthday card for a man.

Have a great week whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking xx

An Independent Women Twist & Pop Card

Good morning and a very happy Sunday!

Today I'm really happy to be sharing a Twist & Pop card made with the beautiful new Independent Women Collection from Relatively Thoughtful.

This collection coordinates perfectly with the Stamperia Provence range and the great thing is, Sally now has this available in her store.

I started by choosing my images for the twist & pop mechanism. The postcards were perfect for this, just the right size. I used the cover sheet to mat and layer my images - never waste a thing! As it turned out poor old Amelia didn't make it as I put my glue in the wrong place lol.

I also needed some panels for the front cover and the inside. I've used a really old punch to make my lacy layers. The sentiment is also from the cover sheet.

These are the tags that I've made for the outside from the postcard cut-apart sheet.

And this is the inside! So many inspirational women - I think Queen Victoria was going through her unamused stage!

The whole thing folds flat(ish) ready for posting.

As always there is new inspiration every day on our social pages.

I hope you love the new collection as much as I do.

Birthday Boy!

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday, welcome to March!

After a lovely beginning to February (we were in Tenerife) we've had rather a poor ending as we both have Covid (again!) This time however I passed it on to Neil rather than him giving it to me as a birthday present. I will be able to let this go eventually, but not anytime soon!

Anyway, on to brighter things, it's time for a new challenge over at Country View Crafts, and the lovely Corrie has chosen Birthday Cards, but for a MAN! Yup, the thing all crafters love to make, a birthday card for a man who doesn't want it, already has it, or just can't remember where he put it!

As I've really been feeling quite poorly I haven't been in my craft room for ages. It's also the time of the year when it's soooo cold in there. So on Monday I literally found myself in need of a card for today (Wednesday)

So I decided that I had to keep it simple and pulled out a couple of sheets of designer paper. I knocked them back just a little with some gesso.
I added some stamping and stencilling and made the panels into tags.
These are my stamps, and of course Susan has a brilliant range here in the store.
So it's over to you now, please join in with our challenge and show us your birthday cards for men,
Have a wonderful March, and thanks so much for looking x
