No Internet For A While

Hi everyone,

I won't have any internet access for nearly a month! I've scheduled a few posts for November, but I'm afraid I won't be able to visit your blogs.
I look forward to catching up with everyone at the end of November.
Be good!

Clean and Simple for Lost Coast Designs

Good afternoon and happy Monday. The Lost Coast challenge this month is a very scary one (to me) it's Clean and Simple eek!

I started by stamping the Lost Coast Designs Flower Flourish onto a scrap of a Gelli print and embossed in black.

Then I stamped it again onto a piece of white card and embossed this. It's not easy is it white card and black embossing powder! Then it was just a case of matching the two up.

The sentiment is one of the wonderful Carmen's Veranda clear stamps, Born To Stand Out.

Please head over to the portal and check out my teamies wonderful creations - they're not scared of C&S like I am!

I hope you join in, there's Lost Coast $'s up for grabs! Have a fun week, and thanks very much for looking xx

A Crazy Birthday Card

Good morning and happy Friday. It's time for my second 'stencil' piece for Country View Crafts, and this time I've gone a little 'crazy'

If you remember I made a master board for this challenge so I started by cutting a piece 7.75 x 7.75. I really like it, but it's a bit busy for a background, so I decided to chop holes into it!

In the first one, I put this Crazy Cat.

And in the other, I put this one!

I've also used a die from the Tim Holtz Halloween Sizlits set, and my go-to Celebration Words set.
I really like how it looks, and as the recipient is a 'cat person' I hope she'll like it too.
There's still lots of time for you to join in, so please dust off the stencils and play along.
Have a fun week, and thanks very much for looking x

Shhhhhhhh

Good morning and happy Wednesday. Today is the start of a fun new challenge over at Rubber Dance, it's your Favourite Movie. Here's mine (with apologies to Donna and Bibi) for the (mis)use of the stamp.

Yes, it's The Sound Of Music... oh wait a minute, I couldn't do the von Trapp family, - I hope you can tell what it is, but for those who can't, it's The Silence of the Lambs. I've used the cloud that Donna designed for the Whimsical Summer Rubber Dance plate.

I made a background on mixed media paper with Fresco paints and Porfollio oil pastels. Then I stamped the cloud (as a cloud this time).

Now I don't like to brag but I drew these myself lol. These are the ones that made the grade, you should see the 2 sheets of  A4 that ended up in the bin! Who knew drawing an oval could be so hard. Actually, I did, that's why I buy rubber stamps.

Then just a bit of washi tape to ground my lambs, and some rain drops - well they won't be very happy with their mouths taped up will they.

It's your turn now, so please join in and show us your favourite movie. Remember to quote SDFreeShip for free worldwide P&P on orders of 15 Euros and over.
Have a fun week, and thanks very much for looking xx

I've used Carmen's Veranda Sugar Skull Woman and Broken Look Beautiful together with Lost Coast's Rustic Checkerboard Border.
And this is how it looks in my chippie album.

There are more details of how this was made over on the portal so please pop over and have a look.

Stencil Time for Country View Crafts

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's the first of the month which always means that it's time for a new challenge at Country View Crafts. My lovely teamie Gabrielle has chosen stencils for this months theme, which is something I really enjoy using.

For this challenge, I thought I would make a master board, which is something I haven't done in ages.

I started with a piece of A3 and gessoed in black, and then white. Then I brayered on some colour. I've used acrylic paints from ranges by  Dina Wakley, DecoArt Media,  and Amsterdam.

Then I added some stencilling with Dylusion stencils and white acrylic.

For a bit of contrast, I added some black stencilling, and it was all done. Now the scary bit, time to chop it up!

I've used a hexagon die and the Tim Holtz Detailed Butterflies dies.

For the background, I used a circle stencil for some reverse
stencilling with Distress Inks.

The sentiment is from my favourite Tim Holtz Celebration Words.

If you pop back later in the month, you'll see what I did with the rest of the board!

Now over to you, please join in with our fun challenge, and show us your stencils.

Have a wonderful month, and thanks very much for looking x
