Saturday Workout - Sew an ATC

It's ages since I entered the Sawo challenge but as I got up nice and early, I thought I would give it a go. I'm not sure if this really counts, 'cos on looking at all the other entries the ATC's are totally sewn, (how do they do that??) and mine only has some stitching on it, BUT as it took me ten minutes to even thread the needle, I'm still entering.
My chic lady is a Tim Holtz ATC stamp, and the rather nifty stitching is as good as I get. Yes I can sew on a button but I never advertise this in case anyone takes me up on it! I used to laugh at my mum when she had to ask me to thread her needle but who's laughing now.... actually anyone who can seem me holding it at arms length and squinting. Middle age is a terrible thing.... (so I'm told - I'm only 18, 23 tops, so how would I know) put that mirror away!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking xx

My Time To Craft Challenge - Nature

What idiot took this photograph - oh yeah.... sorry! Well the tag is a little longer than shown, but nothing much happens on the bottom doh!
This is my entry for the My Time to Craft Challenge, which this week is nature. It doesn't show up too well due to the poor photograph, but the yellow and bronze splodgers are stamped in acrylic paint. The main image is an unmounted stamp that I have had for ages, and the quote is a Simple Expressions stamp. It's all been UTE'd and some non matching threads added for contrast. (What this really means is I didn't have any really went, but I hate to see an empty hole in a tag).
Have a good Saturday night, and thanks for looking xx

Graphicus Challenge

Here is my entry for this month's challenge over at Graphicus. The combined challenge is 'sing' and 'yellow'. Not an easy challenge, where does Glenda come up with these from??
All of the backing papers are from the Damask CD Rom, and the stamps are from the All of a Twitter pack.
I decided to turn it into a Mother's Day card for my mum, so hope she likes it....
Have a good start to the weekend and thanks for looking xxx

Winter Wonderland

As soon as I saw this challenge over at Stamp Something I knew that I had to give it a go. The challenge is around cold Wintery winds, which I thought would be perfect for my tall tree stamp.
It was nice to get back to just stamps and inks, so nothing fancy.
The black tree and the birds are by Tim Holtz, and the tall trees and background trees I believe are Just For Fun.
There is more than a smattering of crystal stickles, but this isn't showing up too well on the scan.
I'ts off to bed now for me, so thanks very much for looking xx

What's New Pussycat

This is my entry for this week's Sunday Stamper's challenge. I've just received this puddy cat stamp from Dimension Fourth and I love him. I've coloured him in with Prisma markers, and topped him(ouch) with Glossy Accents. If you look carefully you'll see my thumb print on his tummy!
The mountboard background has been brayed, and the little fish bones are shrink plastic. The sentiment came in the huge K&Co kit from QVC in the days when I would buy every craft TSV whether I liked it or not! I've inked it in daffodil yellow to celebrate St David's Day!
Back to work tomorrow :0(.
Thanks very much for looking xx

Watch Out There's a Bunny About!!

This is my entry for this weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge, which is all things circular. Sooooooo I dug out my Circle Cutter that I got from C&C many moons ago. I remember now why it was in the back of the drawer!
After it had chewed up 4 sheets of card and I was less than happy, I managed to cut a couple of circles which I joined together with eyelets and ribbon.
The backing paper is DCWV which is really getting used now.
The image is from a clear set of Penny Black stamps and is very cute. She won't hop away because I had to cut her feet off to get her to fit!!. Calm down dear it's only a card lol. I've coloured her with Inktense and embossed it all with clear embossing powder over new Versamark Champagne pad. This is great, my old Versamark was filthy so I treated myself to a new one. It gives a very subtle goldy shimmery finnish - very nice.
The circle cutter is now at the bottom, at the back of the drawer again!
The card also fits in well with the challenge at Craft Swap Forum where the theme is Easter.
I really need to get away from the computer now, but it's gonna be hard to move. Have a great Sunday and thanks for looking xx

Let Them Eat Cake....

This weeks challenge over at Penny Black is Something to Eat. This is the 1st stamp I ever bought by Penny Black, and luckily it has a cake on it.
The image has been coloured with my Inktense pencils, I would not be without these now as they are so quick and easy to use, and I always seem to be in a rush!
The papers are all DCWV as is the sentiment sticker.
A couple of my trusty Prima's and it's all ready for the post (see what I mean about always in a rush lol)
Thanks very much for looking and enjoy your Sunday dinners xx

My New Favourite Card....

At least for today is this one that I made for the Basic Grey challenge which this week is Pockets. The papers are from Archaic, and the rub-ons, brads and button are from the Sugared range.
These rub-on's are absolutely gorgeous, and so easy to use, much better than some rub-on's I've used which don't want to say goodbye to the backing sheet!
The corner and swirl stamps are by Laundry Line, and the swirly bird is by Dimension Fourth.
My pocket has just been bradded down, and my tag has another of the fabby rub-ons. I so wanted to use them but I also needed to keep them forever and take them out to look at occasionally lol. Thanks very much for looking and enjoy what's left of the weekend. xx
