Right Said Fred

Good afternoon, and Happy Wednesday. It's time for a new challenge at Stampotique and this week it's 'two much fun'
This week, we have a special challenge theme of 2's celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the Stampotique ATC Swap facilitated by the lovely Nikki Woodward.  Players in the swap all share a love of Stampotique images and have developed a great deal of goodwill and trust in each other.  Since January 2014 there have been 18 ATC trades with 1272 ATC's mailed internationally!  Grab a cup'a and visit the Stampotique Facebook photo albums to enjoy browsing through all of the ATCs made for each theme!
I've not made an ATC, but here's my 2
And here's a little treat courtesy of Right Said Fred - maybe treat isn't the right word lol.
Can you imagine Twinkie shaking his little tush on the catwalk :-)
For the background I used
Mesh
Text Block 3

Then we have Twinkie and
Are your eyes and ears bleeding yet after the video lol.
I hope you join in with our challenge, and thanks very much for looking x

I Wish I Had Your Picture...

Hi and happy Wednesday. I'm really pleased to be hosting the challenge at Stampotique this week. With Valentines  Day just around the corner I would like you to use shades of red and pink and create something for Valentines.
As you can see romance isn't dead in our house, and I've used the poem that was on a card that I bought my OH over 30 years ago.
It reads
I wish I had your picture
It would be very nice
I'd put it in the attic
To frighten all the mice.
Just my sort of romantic poetry!

Here's Miss Snottie, she's the object of Smile's affections, so he keeps a picture of her (I think she would frighten the mice lol)
The background is made up of Daniel's Hearts and Arwen's Memo Page. The background has been painted in Deco Art acrylics in shades of red and white (which is a very pale shade of red lol).
Just look at this face, who wouldn't want him to be their Valentine.
So put your romantic head on, and show me your shades of red and pink.
Hope you like mine, and thanks very much for looking xx

Wanna Play A Game

Hi, it's time for my second piece for Country View Crafts and January's theme is 'Inspired by Bottles'. Call me sad, but I love ships in bottles, so this is my ship on a bottle.
My version is more Pirates of the Caribbean than Little Mermaid, but that's to be expected with a Stampotique mermaid.

I started with a clear bottle and filled it with glass beads. I added a couple of drops of Salty Ocean re-inker to water and topped up my bottle. I then mopped up the water and picked up the beads that had floated up and out!
My waves are from a Dyan Reaveley plate, and my Sheena Douglass sunken ship has been stamped onto black shrink plastic. The seaweed is a very old stamp that's been stamped onto acetate.
Such a scary mermaid needs a quote from a scary film, and they don't come any scarier than Saw.
She's been coloured with pencils and cut out and attached. Sticking things to glass is such fun - not!
So would you like to play a game with her - you wouldn't win!

I hope you like my bottle, and there's still plenty of time for you to join in with our challenge, so find your inspiration in a bottle (that sounded better in my head, alcohol is not compulsory lol)

Have a great day, and thanks very much for looking x

Should Have Gone....

Hi and happy Wednesday! Time for another Stampotique challenge, and this week the wonderful Arwen has chosen the theme.
This week Arwen McCullen is our hostess and she is challenging us to "Colour Blobs"
Here is what Arwen says about this challenge:

"I would like to see different colour Blobs in your project this week"

I like a nice quirky challenge, and colour too, what's not to love.

My intrepid travellers have gone a little off course in their travels through the galaxy (Mmm Galaxy...) and have ended up on a planet with white space and black stars. Well you know what they say - 'Should have gone to Specsavers..'
I really had fun making this so thanks Arwen for a fab challenge.
I've used
3 In a Round
Splatter Long
Design Cube

All the paints are from the DecoArt Media range.
So reach for those Stampotique stamps and start blobbing!

So Little Time...

Hi and welcome to our first Stampotique challenge of 2016. This week Claudine has chosen the theme, and this is what she has to say about it.
Trees have always been such a source of life for many living creatures and I just love them. I am asking you to add some trees to your entries this week"
Here are my trees
Dogs and trees have always gone together - they either 'water' them, drag 'em around, or in the case of my childhood pooch, try and clear the lake of them. She was a Golden Lab who's sole mission was to clear every twig/branch/fully grown tree from any body of water that she came across :-)
I've used
Tree-O
Birch Tree and
Dog Cube

This was a really fun challenge, and one that I hope you will join in with.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Wow it's 2016 already, where did last year go! It's also time for a new challenge at Country View Crafts and this month Brenda wants us to be inspired by bottles.
I confess I found this a really difficult challenge. I Googled altered bottles and scared myself silly! There are some really beautiful bottles our there.
My bottle was full of orange bubble bath - this is now sitting in a less than glamorous Ikea bottle.
It's been filled with been filled with black and silver glass chips.
All the stamps are by Stampotique, and the letter stickers are Tim Holtz's.
I hope you have a very Happy New Year and join in with our bottle challenge.
Thanks very much for looking x
