On The Sunny Side Of The Street

It's Wednesday, so time for another challenge at Stampotique. This week Kaz has chosen the theme, and it's one that I can really relate to.

It's cold in the UK and I can't wait for it to warm up.  Show me something sunny to hopefully encourage the sun to come out.

This is a mix of older stamps, and the new releases.
I've stamped Stitched Houses onto patterned paper , backed onto black card and sewn around.
In the background there is Crow Line and I've also used Picket Fence, which I've stamped, coloured and cut out, and put onto acetate  and cut out again to give it a bit more strength.
What street could be complete without Daniel's new Dog Cube, and there's also France's Cracks in the background.
I hope you like it, and that you join in with our sunny challenge.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Please read ALL RULES on the linkz page before linking your creation.

It's Blog Hop Time!

Today we are so excited about the new release for Stampotique Originals!!!  We've been keeping it under wraps for weeks now, but know that some of you got a sneak at one of our new stamp artists.

Stampotique is thrilled to add to the line-up the designs one of our former team members and popular mixed media artist, Kate Crane (is that squealing we hear amongst you?).  We know you all won't be disappointed with the line-up of stamps from all our artists this go around.

Are you ready to see some wonderful artwork showcasing some of the new stamps?  There are 50+ new ones being released this time around, so plenty for everyone to choose from (or choose them all).

Hop along with the design team and 2 special guest bloggers leaving comments along the way.  We will choose 3 random winners from 3 selected blogs along the way to win some goodies.

We will choose our winners with our next challenge on February 25th.

This has been made using Janet's Birch Tree, Arwen's Neverending Wall, and Daniels Dog Cube

This is a mixture of new release stamps, and some older ones that are new to me.
New stamps, Magda's Agatha Pirate, Agatha's Parrot, and Arwen's Skull Balloons, and Skully
There's also the two alphabets Upper and Lower and Crown. I love how everyones stamps work so well together.

You should have arrived here from Kate's blog. Your next stop along the way will be Kaz's .  If you get lost anywhere along the way you can come back to the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog to find your way.

Hope you enjoy all the design team creations,
we can't wait to hear what your favorite new stamps are!

A Very Merry Un-Birthday To You!

This week it's the turn of France to choose the Stampotique challenge theme, and she's gone with Un-Birthdays.
We often expect cards on our birthday. How about surprising someone with an unbirthday card? With or without Alice in Wonderland inspiration, make a happy unbirthday card!
The background is from a technique that I saw in Craft Stamper last month that I really liked. It was all about using circle templates and inks so I tried it out.
Alice, Mad Hatter, Rabbit and Tree have all been stamped, coloured, and cut out.
The sentiment is computer generated.
As always there are very few rules, so I hope you will join in.
MPORTANT REMINDER:
Please read ALL RULES on the linkz page before linking your creation.

Waiting For Mr Right

The challenge at Lost Coast Stamps this month is Girls, Girls, Girls. Here are my girls

They've been coloured with Peerless watercolours, I really like these but I need more practice.
The frame has been embossed and sanded and rubbed with antiquing creams.
I don't think my girls need a Mr Right, they seem quite happy as they are!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for looking x

Love Is In The Air

Kristen has chosen the theme this week at Stampotique, and she's gone all romantic on us

February 14th is Valentine's Day, so why not create something that is surrounded by hearts and love?

Why not indeed!
I started with a Brusho background, and bleached stamped Daniel's Hearts  over the top.
My 'go to' romantic couple Courting by my teamie Janet Klein was stamped and watercoloured.
I think that Love and Laughter is the perfect sentiment, it goes with every occasion.
Finally just a bit of stitching around the edges to hold it all together.

I hope that you can join in, remember there's a chance to win a $30.00 gift certificate.

Roll Up! Roll Up!

I'm going to shock you all now with a piece of news, THE SUN IS SHINING! It's still flippin freezing, but it's sooo nice to see some sunshine again!
That's Crafty has a theme of Animal Magic this time around, and I've got some Artist Outpost stamps that have never been inked, so a match made in heaven.
They are from the Vintage Circus set and I've used them with some Graphic 45 papers. I don't often use papers, I love them but then I 'keep them for best' Well 'best' is now! The amount of clothes that have shrunk in my wardrobe waiting for 'best' is ridiculous lol.
My tiger has been watercoloured, and the tickets just stamped in a strip and sewn.
I really love my new sewing machine, it can do so many stitches - unfortunately I can only do straight and zig zag, but today I learned how to wind a bobbin and use the automatic threader so now we have red sewing too!
I hope you enjoy your Sunday, and thanks very much for looking.

Oranges and Lemons

Hi, it's my turn to host the challenge today over at Stampotique. Ever since I was small I've loved the colour yellow and the rest of the citrus colours. They are just so fresh and always make me feel happy. So this week I want you to use citrus colours and spread the happiness!

I started by putting some Grunge Paste through some stencils then giving everything a few coats of paint.
Next we have plenty of stamping with Carol's Flower Large and Small. There's also Vintage Script there in the background.
The flowers are Carol's flowers again that have been stamped, cut out and spritzed  to shabby them up a little. They've also been stamped with Romantic Text. The stems have been die cut and are also stamped with Romantic Text.
The Small Butterfly has been stamped onto book pages and cut out.
So please join in and break out your citrus colours. Remember there's a chance for 2 lucky people to win a $30 gift certificate.
Hope you like this, and thanks very much for looking x
