Good morning and happy Saturday - welcome to September! It seems like those long hot days of Summer are long gone - at times they were a bit much, but oh how I miss them now.
There's a fun new challenge over at Country View Crafts, it's Trains, Planes, and Automobiles, and here is my first piece.
I started by matting and layering some map pages from an old map. I actually bought a new one from The Works to do this, but Neil confiscated it and gave me his old one - how rude! To be honest I was lucky to get that from him. We have a sat nav in the car, but he still insists on taking Ye Olde AA Big Red Book, which show the A1 as the Great North Road, and the M1 as a planned road!
Then I stamped my London images from a PaperArtsy stamp set and cut them out.
And we're all done! No planes or trains, but please come back later in the month and who knows.
I hope you enjoy our fun challenge, there's a £20 shopping voucher up for grabs so please join in.
Have a fab September, and thanks very much for looking x

You always make me smile, I think David may have a similarly old map stashed away somewhere too! What a great composition this is, those taxis all lined up are a timely reminder of why I don't much care for London these days... but your card is superb! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteI love the stamps and I ADORE your fabulous London card! Unique and so cool to take a map as a background and then creating such an interesting design with the frames and sewing! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
