Fabulous at 50

Good morning and happy Sunday. I'm really pleased to be sharing my second project for Country View Crafts 'hand stamped' challenge, and this time it's a birthday card for my brother in law.

Whenever I need a fun birthday card I always seem to reach for my 'crazies' and my favourite Paper Artsy goodies.

I started by making my background with my lovely bright fresco's and this fun JOFY mini background stamp.

And added some tactful 50's - just in case he'd forgotten!

Then I cut out some frames and painted these in the same colours, and stamped and painted my sentiment.

Now for the Crazies! I've stamped and die cut the Crazy Dogs and accessories.

I've added Glossy Accents for their eyes.

What's not to love about these guys?

This is one of my favourite sentiments for a birthday card, I think it really packs a punch.

I always love making these cards, they are such fun and never fail to make me smile.

I hope that you play along with our challenge, what's not to enjoy about stamping, it's my favourite crafting thing to do.

I'm entering this into the Craft Stamper TIMI challenge for November.

Have a great week, and thanks very much for looking x

A JOFY Masterboard

Over at PaperArtsy Jo has created a gorgeous masterboard, and this has inspired me to get out my stamps and pencils and have a good old colour.
I've used stamps from JOFY 9, 12, and 15.
I had such a good time making this and will definitely make more. Don't know if I'll be that happy to cut it up and use it though lol.
Hope you are having a good weekend, and thanks very much for looking x

Take Time To Smell The Flowers

There's lots of inspiration over at the PaperArtsy blog this week, and I've made a little ATC book after seeing Clare's on Tuesday.
I've stamped the leaf from JOFY 12 in black archival and masked. I've used watercolour card so there's plenty of texture.
I've also used another stamp from the same plate and stamped in Versamark and clear embossed. There's also the bubbly stem from JOFY 09 here.

Over the top now with various TH Distress stains.
And finally stencilled the new JOFY paints through her stencils. LOVE these new paints! To finish I've added words from JOFY 09. This was great fun to make, especially as the sun was shining.
I hope you like it, and thanks very much for looking x

Clean and Simple (or smudged and sticky) for PaperArtsy

It's a new school year over at PaperArtsy, and the fabulous Clare Lloyd is 'Miss' this week. Her day 3 make is CAS, and here's my interpretation
This is made in pretty much the same way as Clare's except I had to use some washi tape to cover up where the masking tape took the top layer of the card off. I wouldn't mind but I'd stuck it on my t shirt 3 times and there was hardly any sticky left lol.
I do love Bruiser Bird, you really wouldn't mess with him would you?  All the stamps are from JOFY 15, and I've painted SM15 with London Bus, Hey Pesto, Toffee, and Cinnamon.
It's finished off with some more washi tape for the sentiment along with some original Sue doodling.... yep this is as good as it gets :-)
Hope you like it, and thanks very much for looking xx
