Follow Your Dreams

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm back at Country View Crafts with my second project for our 'Year To Sparkle And Shine' challenge, and this time I've thrown just about everything at it!

I started by painting my canvas board black, then putting some texture paste through a Clarity stencil.

Next I stippled some Dina Wakley paint all over in dark colours.

Layer 3 of about 50 lol. I dropped pinches of Ayeda powders and Pixie Powders all over and sprayed with water. Then I stood back and watched the colour explode!

Much titivation and sparkle splodging later.... here we are! The stamps are by Just A Girl And Her Imagination (Tracy Easson) and I thought they fitted really well with my stary sky background.
Tracy Easson stamps can be found here in the store.
Dina Wakley stash is here.
And Pixie Powders here.

I hope you join in with us in our fun challenge and show us your sparkle!
Take care and have a very happy week x

Ninety Eight, Ninety Nine, One HUNDRED

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. I'm over at Country View Crafts again today with my second project for our 100th challenge celebrations.

As this is an extra special challenge, here are the rules of entry.

Welcome to our June Challenge. This month marks our 100th Challenge and we couldn't let that go by without a celebration so we are offering two prizes, the first will be for your projects that fit the theme of 100 taking inspiration from one of the DT makes, such as a colour scheme, technique, design idea, stamp or die motif and of course, 100 (or One Hundred) must be included. Do specify in your post which member of the Design Team's project inspired you.

The second prize will be picked from one of the comments left on the CVC and DT blog posts - don't forget, you can enter as many times as you like so make sure it is a comment that makes our DT happy to make them count

This time I've gone for the written word as Morty Bottoms is counting the stars.

I started by making my background with black card and Distress Oxides.

I think Morty looks very cute counting the stars.

I've attached it to the back of this canvas board that has Matilda Bottoms, as I want to use it as an album cover and I like to have both sides covered.

I hope you play along with us and join in with the challenge. Have a very happy day, and thanks so much for looking x

I Caught A Wish

Good morning and a very happy Monday. Today I'm over on the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground  with my second project for this month. This time I'm using some lovely Just A Girl And Her Imagination stamps by Tracy Easson.

I started by creating my background on a canvas board, using expensive and specialist equipment (kitchen sponges) and acrylic paints.

Then I stamped my mouse on calico and cut her out and dressed her.

Then, using rather a lot of Mod Podge I added her to the board. I must admit the whiskers didn't make it, so I added them in with a black fine liner.

These are the stamps that I used, and can be found here in Dot's store, and they are discounted at the moment - just saying!

Take care and have a very happy day x

May All Your Dreams Come True

Good morning and Happy Monday. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with my Just A Girl And Her Imagination piece.

It's a 6x6 (ish) piece of cotton rag paper that's been stencilled with Distress Inks and Oxides.

Wow, what a great photograph, I can see why I would take this... If a picture is worth a thousand words this one's worth about 17! Ok, so I stamped my 2 main images, and left everything on the stamping platform so I could paint everything where it was.
Actually, I didn't do too bad a job, but lots of the fine detail has gone. Everything's been colored with PaperArtsy Fresco paints. I love how the translucent colours let the details underneath show through.  Also as the stamps and paper are still on the stamping platform I can re-stamp the detail back in.

As if by magic the whiskers are back! I've just added a sentiment and a few sequins to finish off. I have a few of these sheets now, and when I've got enough I'll bind them all together
All of these stamps can be found here in Dot's store along with lots of other goodies.
I hope you're all staying well, and coping with the ever-changing Coronavirus/Social Distancing rules. Today we are meeting my sister for the first time since lockdown (outdoors at Clumber Park) so fingers crossed for good weather!
Take care, and thanks so much for looking xx

A Grand Day Out

Good morning and happy Monday. I'm over at Ink Art Designs today together with Morty, Matilda, and Betsy Bottoms from Just A Girl And Her Imagination.
A little while ago I was lucky enough to attend a Tracy Easson class at Which Craft? in Doncaster. It was my gift to myself for turning 60 a couple of days later. It was a brilliant day and we made the 'Little Book of Wishes'

This is my front cover. Everything was provided by Tracy, even the sewing thread! I'm not going to go into details about how this was made as Tracy is still teaching the class, and I can't recommend it highly enough, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

And here's the back cover. I even made a fabric badge, something I wouldn't dream of doing before Tracy's class, I've never worked with fabric before, but I really loved putting my book together (over many many hours lol).
Please pop over and visit Dot's group, everyone is welcome, and join in with our challenge. It's always 'anything goes' as long as stamping is the main focus using any of the many brands of stamps that's in the store. Just click on the link to be taken there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/InkArtDesigns/
Have a very happy week, and thanks so much for looking x
