Keep Calm, It's Nearly Christmas!

Good morning and a very happy Christmas Eve. Today I'm over across at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with my Luigi The Llama Christmas card.

This kind of fold is very popular at the moment, and my lovely blogging buddies Angela (Felix the Crafty Cat) and Annie  ( Aussie Annie) have been sharing lots of fab examples.

I'd like to say this is my first attempt, but it's actually my third! I totally cut up two cards before I realised that it was a top folding card! There were pieces falling off all around me before my lightbulb moment lol.

The base card has been covered with Crafty Individuals papers, and Luigi has been stamped onto an alcohol ink glossy background, and his gifts layered up.

These are my fun stamps, and both of these ranges can be found here in Dot's store.
This is my last project for Ink Art Designs, and I would like to thank Dot and my amazing teamies - I've had the best time here, and I hope we'll be cyberspace buddies forever!
Take care,  have a wonderful day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

A Toadally Happy Birthday

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with my second project for this month, and it's a fun Katzelkraft birthday card.

This is quite an unusual one for me in that the base card is the only real layer and the background is stamped directly onto it. Usually, I have lots of layers, so if anything goes wrong I've not lost everything.
Also, I've added the sentiment right at the beginning, 'cos last time I made a card like this I didn't leave enough room for it!
So, the base card has been stamped and put aside to dry. I just love the water drops stamps, they look so dimensional just stamped in black.
Then I coloured the torn paper outline and water drops with my weapon of choice, which was Prisma pencils. I then cut out the holes, and added a layer of acetate to the card to stiffen it up.

I coloured my lovely frogs with Prisma pens and pencils.
This is Lord of the Frogs sat on his lily pad just waiting for a tasty morsel to fly by. His froggy bodyguard doesn't look too impressed!

I like how the images look just sitting on the acetate!

And here they are sitting amongst the foliage.

These are the stamps that I've used, and Dot has an amazing selection of Katzelkraft stamps here in the store.
I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are doing, take care, and thanks so much for looking x

Ooh Look, It's That Book Again

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with - yes you've guessed it, a couple of pages in my Art By Marlene Concertina Album.

You may remember that a couple of months ago I completed one side of the album. I walked away for a little while, but now it's time to tackle the other side!

Last time I did the whole background in one go, but this time I'm doing the pages as I use them. For my first two I just used some Distress Inks to make some sand, sea, grass, and sky.

I added a bit of stenciling, then stamped directly into the book for placement.

Then I stamped the images again, coloured them with my Prisma pencils and cut them all out.

And here we are, all done! I really enjoyed colouring with my pencils, I find them much easier than alcohol markers (though of course I have a huge box full of those too lol)

These are the Art By Marlene and Lavinia stencils that I've used, and of course Dot has a huge stock of both here in the store.
I hope you like it, who knows maybe I'll get this side done in under a year lol.
Thanks so much for looking, take care, and a very happy November x

They Did The Mash

Good morning and a very happy Friday! Wow we are half way through October already, it will soon be Christmas. But.... before Christmas, comes Halloween!

My favourite ever Halloween song is "Monster Mash" by Bobby (Boris) Pickett and this is my Katzelkraft tag book page homage to it for Ink Art Designs.

I started by inking some tags in Halloween colours, then just stamped and cut out my crazy characters. The lyrics to the song were printed on the computer.

These stamps are such fun! I've used The Humanoids, The Bandelettes, and Sherlock. Dot has a fabulous range of Katzelkraft stamps here in the store.
I hope you like them, and that you join in with our challenge.
Thanks so much for looking, and have a very happy and spooky day! xx

Say Cheese

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. I'm back home today (well late last night actually) from a very happy few days in Blackpool celebrating my husband's, daughter's and her partner's birthdays which all fall within a few days of each other.

I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with a Katzelkraft card that I've made for her as she is a great meerkat fan.

Now everyone in the UK loves meerkats, it's the law! I used to be team Aleksandr, but my heart now  belongs to Sergei (even though he does have flees!) Because of this, it was a no brainer that these stamps would have to come and live with me

I started by making a background for my card by using a set of the Katzelkraft sentiments.

Then I cut out some squares, stamped my Meerkats, and coloured it all in.

I wanted them to look like they were Polaroid photos, so I backed them onto bigger pieces of card and stamped the sentiments.
The hardest part was sticking down my Kats without covering them up 'cos they're far too cute!

These are the fab stamp sets that I've used, and of course, they can be found here in Dot's store.
I hope you like my card, it certainly was fun to make.
Have a very happy day whatever you're doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Winter Is Coming

Good morning and a very happy Monday. Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with an art journal page.

Oh I do miss Game of Thrones (no not that terrible ending, no one misses that!) and dragons will always remind me of it.

I started by stencilling a background and adding the Lavinia Dragon Verse.

Then I stamped and coloured my lovely Crafty Individuals New Beginnings stamp.

I stencilled another background with my flames and a Lavinia stencil, then I added my hatching dragons. The sentiment is from Carmen's Veranda.

Dot has a fabulous range of Crafty Individuals, Carmen's Veranda, and all things Lavinia here in the store.
I hope you like it, and that you join in with our challenge. Just use any stamps from the ranges that Dot sells for a chance to win the stamp of your choice.
Thanks so much for looking, take care, and have a very happy week x

All Good Things Take Time

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday! Today I'm over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with my Art By Marlene accordion journal. "Oh no" I hear you say, "not that journal again" BUT... this time I've actually finished it! (ok half-finished it, but let me enjoy my moment)

I've used some of my favourite stamps on this one too. I love this elephant, and the mandala is one of my favourites of the clear stamp sets.

I was on the final four pages of my journal, so I decided to do them all. I started by stamping and colouring the mandala on the already prepared pages.
Then I stamped and coloured my elephant 3 times. I used my Zig Clean Colour pens as they are such bright colours.

I worked out where the elephant would go across the crease in the pages, and put a score line in the elephant. That way I could glue it on both sides, but not where the page needs to open and close.

Now there's a tiny bit of wriggle room so the elephant (hopefully) won't crack over time. And now for my 'Ta Da' moment....

Here it is, all done!

Ok, it's only half done, there's still the other side to do, but I have an idea for that already.

All of the stamps used are by Art By Marlene, and Dot has a fab range of everything Marlene here in the store  https://www.inkartdesigns.com/shop/

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Love Lovely Life!

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. Today I'm over on the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground with my Twist & Pop card.

I recently bought these lovely Crafty Individual papers. You know when you buy something and then wish you'd got at least a dozen, well that was me. Luckily I did get quite a few though so all's good.

This is the inside of my card. I was going to put a panel to write my sentiment on but then decided that these butterflies were far too nice to cover up.

And this is my twist and pop element on the front.

As everyone knows by now, I love my Alice Palace (Crafty Individuals) stamps.

I really like this washi tape stamp, just perfect for stamping in any colour.

I really enjoyed making this, not sure that I'm ready to give it away though lol.
Dot has got oodles of the Crafty Individuals stamps here in the store, so have a look around. Also please join in with our challenge for the chance to win a stamp of your choice. Just remember to use any stamp from the ranges that Dot sells in the store.

CHALLENGE RULES (only a few)
- You can only use Stampscapes, Art Journey,  Rubber Dance, Lavinia, Katzelkraft,  Lost Coast Designs, Art By Marlene, Dina Wakley, Riley & Co and Crafty Individuals stamps.
- Always an 'ANYTHING GOES' theme.

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Baby It's Cold Outside

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. We're continuing with Christmas in July over at the Ink Art Designs Stamping Playground during a heatwave here in the UK.

I started by making my background sheets. The kraft card has just had some white acrylic splattered across it, while the blue has lots of stamping with a Rubber Dance sentiment, and stenciling with some 'ice' texture paste.

The stamping was done on top of the texture paste, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I had a dig around in my box of marbled backgrounds to stamp my chilly birds.

This is the first time that they've been inked but I love them already. The background card has been punched with an ancient punch, and had lots of white embossing.

And these are the stamps that I've used. Dot has a wonderful selection of both Crafty Individuals and Rubber Dance stamps here in the store.

I hope that you manage to stay cool, and have a great day whatever you are doing. Take care, and thanks so much for looking x
