Bombshell Stamps have a challenge of polka dots and glitter this month, which really got me thinking! This is what I came up with.
The stamp is from the aptly named
Rise and Shine plate.
The background is Portfolio pastels, and Fresco acrylics through a stencil for my polka dots.
I'm afraid you can't see too much of the glitter due to the lack of light here at the moment.
Here's a bit of the glitter!
I love Bombshell stamps, they give me a chance to practice my colouring (or lack of) technique, and they are just fun!
Hope the sun comes out wherever you are, and have a good weekend.
Thanks very much for looking x

Viva Las Vegas
The challenge this month at Bombshell Stamps is to make an easel card. Here's mine.
I've used stamps from the Butterfly Queen set and coloured her with Prisma pencils. Her wings have been stamped onto acetate. Every bombshell deserves to have feathers don't you think, so here she is as a Vegas show girl :-)
The stopper is one of my clay flowers. It's been painted and finished off with gilding wax.
Hope you like my little easel, and thanks very much for looking x

Trouble!
Bombshell Stamps have a monthly sketch challenge, and here's my entry.
Yep it's the girl in the glass again, but more are on order lol.
There's a brilliant tutorial here on the Bombshell site about colouring in with coloured pencils which I've followed.
Hope you like it, and thanks very much for looking x

May The Bluebird Of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose
It's Hip To Be Square was the brief from Valerie for this months Bombshell stamps challenge, but my main challenge was always going to be making anything without repeating my 'girl in a glass' (Man's Ruin) as I only have 2 sets of stamps. Here's what I came up with.
I started out by paper weaving, but it was a bit bright and my sewing machine ran out of thread - time for plan B...
A couple of coats of gesso and lots of stencilling later we have this. The skull is an Andy Skinner stencil and I've used beaded texture paste and Treasure Gold to colour. Enter my second set of stamps Love and Luck. All of the stamps are from here, and they've been coloured with Prisma pencils and triple embossed.

My dad used to sing My The Bluebird Of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose when I was little and I always though he had made the words up. A bit like 'hedgehogs toasting on an open fire' at Christmas lol, but it seems the song is correct and it's stuck with me for 50 years. My bluebirds of paradise are carrying the banner that's been attached with some springy wire so that it stands off the page. I did enjoy making this Valerie, thanks for the challenge.
I hope you like it, and thanks very much for looking x

I Can Resist Anything But Temptation
It's my turn to pick the ingredients for the Tag It On recipe this fortnight, so I thought I would keep it nice and simple. I've gone with a resist technique, (use any you like) the colour red and a temptation. Now I could have made a red tag with chocolate hob nobs on (I'm sure melted chocolate is a great resist) but where's the fun in that!
I stamped my Cherry Pie bubbly stamp in versamark and embossed with white EP. I then sprayed yellow PP mist through a stencil, and wiped off the embossing.
I sponged over the white bubbles with various colours of Stazon.
The Bombshell stamps were just coloured in with Prisma pencils and cut out, and the 'condemned' is a rub on.
So please join in and show me what tempts you (oo er) and remember to use at least one real stamp.

The Wednesday Stamper - Lace
I've used a few Dew Drops as champagne bubbles, these are new today and they're my favourites already. Thanks for looking.
