Tales Of The Riverbank

Yes I know I'm showing my age now, but I remember Hammy hamster well lol.
It's time for another challenge at Dragons Dream Tag It On, and May has chosen Night Riverbank. This means she wants to see, boats, driftwood, and insects. Yikes the only boat stamp I have is a Stamp Camp scene of Venice. You know where they punt up and down the canal river in their gondolas. My driftwood is cardboard that's gone through an embossing folder and inked. I do have an insect stamp, but it's about the size of the gondola so my romantic scene would turn into a B horror movie.
Please join in with us in our challenge remembering to use at least one real stamp.
Thanks very much for looking x

While Dragons Dream....

It's time for another challenge over at Dragons Dream, Tag It On, and this time the team has chosen While Dragons Dream. So it's in with the mythical animals, a night sky and a clear moon.
My two main images are by Stamp Camp and have been stamped over a distress ink background. My bubble stamp is from Cherry Pie.
It's been finished off with a little white posca pen, and a liberal sprinkling of ultra fine and glass glitter.
I know this is stretching the 'mythical animal' a little but hey that gives you permission to do the same.
Please check out my teamies tags then join in with your own. Don't forget to use at least one (but the more the merrier) real stamp.
Thanks very much for looking x

Aaaahh Where Did Friday Morning Go!!!

So, the washing's unwashed, the house looks like we've been burgled, and here I am sat at the computer :o) This is my entry to The Stampman's Oriental challenge. I'm not really a fan (no pun intended lol) of oriental, so all this stuff is really old (when I bought whatever was 'in' whether I liked it or not) I do quite like this stamp, it's by Stamp Camp and they do the best background stamps, and they're HUGE!  The backing papers are from an old C&C set when it was POTD. I've coloured my ladies in alcohol ink, but you can't really see 'cos of the photo 'cos we've had no sun for weeks apart from when I've been at work. -  If I knew where to find emoticons there would be one of me jumping up and down looking very angry 'cos I've SO had enough of living in the dark!
Rant over (phew)... the tassel is from Joanna Sheen, and my favourite bit is the brad - made it miself yer know (ok with the help of the papermania brad maker). This is a terrific set and really easy to use. You get the punches and the sticky bits, and lots of brads - love it!
For far far better examples check out the Stampman site.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Art Creations Friday Challeng 13

A lovely background image to work with today. it put me in mind of the sea, so I decided to make a mermaid.
The acetate overlay has been stamped with a Stampcamp stamp, and a few fibres to finish.
A lovely challenge, and thanks for looking.x

The Wednesday Stamper - Openings

The hardest part of the challenge was to find a stamp with an opening, I hope this bridge counts! It's part of a huge 'Stamp Camp' stamp, and I must admit it's the 1st time that I've used it. The number of stamps that I have seen, loved, bought and never used.... lol.
I've stamped, then used ink pads and water to colour in. The sentiment is by Invoke Arts, and the sky has been coloured using Ranger acrylic paints in blue and white. I've also used a white pen to highlight, a red/gold brilliance pad to ink the edges, and lots and lots of Mod Podge to give it a shine
I really enjoyed this challenge, thanks for looking. xx

Sunday Stampers Laydeee

Here is my card for this weeks Sunday Stampers challenge. I spent an hour messing with my Paper Artsy 'Mother Nature' stamp, but I couldn't get her to look right, so I got out my Stamp Camp 'Mona' and had a go with her!
I have stamped with one of those huge multi coloured dye ink pads in 'folliage' colours. The corners and 'mask' are a set of clear stamps that I got from US last year on holiday.
The crown and 'smile' are both Heidi Swapp's stamped, embossed and cut out.
As Mona is a lady I have given her a set of pearls and some paper artsy 'scrap'.
I then broke with all tradition and tidied my mess up straight away as I left my Easter cards till the last minute and will have to do a couple after work tomorrow.
I am so glad I have taken part in the last two challenges, I've really enjoyed them. xx
