Stencil Time for Country View Crafts

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's the first of the month which always means that it's time for a new challenge at Country View Crafts. My lovely teamie Gabrielle has chosen stencils for this months theme, which is something I really enjoy using.

For this challenge, I thought I would make a master board, which is something I haven't done in ages.

I started with a piece of A3 and gessoed in black, and then white. Then I brayered on some colour. I've used acrylic paints from ranges by  Dina Wakley, DecoArt Media,  and Amsterdam.

Then I added some stencilling with Dylusion stencils and white acrylic.

For a bit of contrast, I added some black stencilling, and it was all done. Now the scary bit, time to chop it up!

I've used a hexagon die and the Tim Holtz Detailed Butterflies dies.

For the background, I used a circle stencil for some reverse
stencilling with Distress Inks.

The sentiment is from my favourite Tim Holtz Celebration Words.

If you pop back later in the month, you'll see what I did with the rest of the board!

Now over to you, please join in with our fun challenge, and show us your stencils.

Have a wonderful month, and thanks very much for looking x
