Winter Wonderland

Good evening, it's time for my second Christmas project over at Season's Greetings 'cos it will be here before we know it ;-) As always the theme is 'anything goes' with an optional twist of embossing. Heat embossing was one of my first loves and I still use it loads. Here is my card.

I started with a couple of sheets of 8 x 8 paper from the same pack so that they co-ordinated.

Then added some texure paste through a stencil, gesso'd over then stamped with a Wendy Vecchi text stamp.

I've got some quite thick chipboard so I cut some Tim Holtz shapes.
Then roughly painted with acrylic paint.
Fun time now, I embossed with ultra thick white embossing powder for a sprinkle of snow.
I distressed my backing paper and also gave it a sprinkling of snow.
Time to put it all together. My deer have been triple embossed in gold, then stamped with the same Wendy Vecchi background stamp.
I love the texture that the UTEE gives.
There's so much weight in the chipboard that I had to sew another base card to my card to stop it toppling over!

For my sentiment I've used a Rubber Dance Christmas Tags stamp and more white embossing powder.
There's also lots of messy stitching and general shabbiness! There's no way this will fit into an envelope so I will have to make a box for it, but that's a job for another day.
Remember, Christmas is coming, so please join in with our challenge, and like all good Boy Scouts, be prepared!
Have a fun week, and thanks very much for looking xx
