However, as I 'owe' 5 minutes from my last card, I guess that makes us all square.
PaperArtsy recently had an alcohol ink challenge on their blog and I learned this technique there. In the example canned air was used, but I simply take a few drops of alcohol ink, a drinking straw, and blow... a lot!
Next I added some stamping with JOFY 14, JOFY 09, and ELB 06, and filled the images in a little bit with Prisma pens.
Then a bit of matting, layering and stitching to hold it all together and we're done with 5 minutes left to spare - ta dah!
So 30 minutes or less is all I'm asking for you to join in with our challenge - you can get the supplies ready and tidy up again in your own time lol.
Have a fabulous weekend, and thanks very much for looking x
Lovely card, great blow-job! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSuch a great technique and card Sue. Happy Friday xxx
ReplyDeleteHecky Thump. I am trying to think how long this would take me to make.It is stunning Sue. Think I may try something this style but it will take me 30 minutes to test which of my alcohol inks still have any left in them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great challenge
Love Chrissie xx
Wow, Sue!!! This is amazing!!! Great technique!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteLove this. I want to say very graphic, cos someone left that comment on one of my cards a little while ago and I wasn't exactly sure if it was a compliment or not, or something you say when you aren't really sure what to say, but be assured, in this instance it is. Colours and lines. Graphic. Nice. I am a slow card maker but I hope to join your 30 minutes or less and produce a few wonders. Probably the biggest wonder will be 'I wonder how I made that in under 30 minutes!!' Oh sweetheart, thank you. You got my little ol' blog in your sidebar. I am honored. Just clicked follow. Don't know why I haven't done that before. I have been bumping into your gorgeous creations for years around blogland. Have a lovely day. Hugz

ReplyDeleteI had forgotten all about this technique using alcohol inks, Sue, and I do like it a lot. Guess I will have to "unbury" my alcohol inks! I like the idea of stamping over it and then using pen for the final touches. Your card is so pretty that I will definitely try it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card and great technique! The JOFY stamps fit perfectly! Chrisx
