Happy New Year

Good morning, happy Tuesday, and Happy New Year! I hope that you've all had a fabulous Christmas and New Years Eve and that your heads aren't hurting toooo much this morning. I've had a lovely time except for a cold that turned up on Christmas Eve, and that's enjoyed itself so much that it doesn't want to leave!
It's time for a new challenge over at Country View Crafts and we've gone right in with a real challenge this time (for me at least) it's Landscape/Cityscape.

I love landscape cards, but only those that other people have made lol. I started by making a background with a Clarity stencil and some Distress Inks.

Then I added another stencil and some more inks on the hills and to make some lights in the trees.

And finally another stencil and some Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste to make the fireworks.

I thought that these Hobby Art hare stamps would fit in nicely with the background - I really like the way you can have them facing each other.
And to finish I die cut some numbers. So there we are, Happy 2019!
Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our challenges last year, and I hope you'll do the same this year.
Have a very happy day, and thanks for looking x

  1. I bet you hadn't used those tree stencils in a while... an upside to being challenged! The fireworks shimmering colours is a great idea. Can't wait to see what you did with the second scene...
    Happy New Year!

  14. Happy New Year Sue, I had to come looking for you as there was nothing much going on over Christmas and then BOOM.. The Blog reading list was chocker! Not seen those Hobby Art Stamps before, great to have both lefty & righty. Fab background, loving the overlay. I think that may have been the first Clarity Stencil I ever purchased.
Love the sound of the challenge, may have to pop on over and take a closer look.
Wishing you all the best for 2019, may it be a Happy & Healthy one for you and the family.
