I Came, I Saw, I Conga'd

Good morning and happy Tuesday. Here is another (and last you'll be happy to hear) of my Eileen Hull Passport journal pages.

I've not inked up Carmen Mooranda, so I thought it was time that I did.
I've also used my new favourite's Doodle Circles, and Antique Text Border. Carmen's Veranda's Flying Monkey also came to the party.
This may not be art daaaahling but it certainly was fun!
If you would like to join in with our current challenge just stamp something (but no humans allowed) and link up over on the Portal.
Have a fab week, and thanks very much for looking xx

Pretty Little Birds

Good morning and happy Tuesday. I've been playing in my Eileen Hull Passport journal again, and as we currently have a challenge at Lost Coast Designs called 'Nobody Here', I though I would stay with the theme.

This is just simple background stamping, then the main images have been stamped, watercoloured, and cut out.

Stamps Used
Spray Webbing
Antique Text Border
Cat and Bird
Bowtie Bulldog (Katzelkraft)

It would be great if you would join in with our challenge, the only rules are that there must be some stamping, and this time around no humans are allowed.
Have a  happy week, and thanks very much for looking x

Have An Ice Day

Good morning and happy Sunday. It's time to share the second round of inspiration for our challenge at Rubber Dance. This month it's black and white plus one other colour, and/or wings/feathers.  I've gone a bit 'old school' and made a bookmark.

My son came home with a request - his girlfriend would like a bookmark. I must admit my first thought was 'would she like an e-reader for Christmas' ('cos I never know what to get her) but no, she likes 'proper' books!

She has a cat, so I thought I would make one with a cat on, but no - she also likes penguins. Well duh, - who doesn't like penguins?? So penguins it is! I stamped Mum (or Dad) and baby (or just very small) penguins from the Playful Penguins set, along with the sentiment. Then I added some snowballs from the Whimsical Winter plate.

Then I painted my images with masking fluid so the I could colour the background.

I used blue Distress Inks, and dipped and dried.

When everything was dry I gently removed the masking fluid, and stamped and embossed the snowflakes from Whimsical Winter.

Then I just matted onto a piece of black card, added the black, white, and blue sequins, and some sari ribbon. By now I really didn't want to give this away, but I was a big girl and sent it on it's way.

I hope that you join in with our challenge, all of the stamps can be found here.  As always for free worldwide P&P on orders of 15 Euros and above just quote SDFreeShip at the Rubber Dance checkout.

There's lots more inspiration from my teamies here, and here's our lovely mood board. Have a very happy day, and thanks very much for looking x

B Is For Bitching Brothers

Good morning and happy Wednesday. As I'm sure you know by now, the current challenge at Lost Coast Designs is Something Beginning With B. I've made a mini book for this, and here's another couple of pages.

Here are my brothers, which is the Lost Coast 3 Waiters stamp.

And this is my inner bitch! It's Lost Coast Birthday Mona, and part of the Carmen's Veranda sentiment Inner Bitch Likes Cookies. I've really enjoyed just using black and white, and I shall do this more often.
This is a really fun challenge, so I hope you join in.
Have a very happy week, and thanks very much for looking x

It's Alright, It's Ok...

Good morning and happy Monday! It's time for me to share my second 'In the Summer Garden' piece with you for this months Country View Crafts challenge.

I started by finger painting with my favourite Fresco Paints. I used Tracy Scott's second set and also Dolly Mix. This is my new favourite way to paint, and I learned it taking one of Tracy's classes.

Then I stamped all over with Tracy's PaperArtsy's flower stamps.  Just need to fussy cut them - shoot me now!

Two episodes of New Tricks later and they are all done! I've layered them up on some foam pads.

I've stamped my most favouritist (this really is a word - I checked!) 'happy birthday' stamp from JOFY14 then arranged my flowers. I need to make a box now to send it in (or I could just hand it over - sticking out of an envelope) - only joking, though that could work...

I really enjoyed making this apart from the cutting out, but 'It's allright, it's OK, doesn't really matter if you're old and gray'.... It's really hard for me to cut out and watch the TV at the same time 'cos I need to wear my reading glasses to see the scissors, or my fingers, so I look like a demented meerkat bobbing up and down looking over my glasses... just a small insight into my exciting world of bad eyesight and even worse telly!

Anyway, I hope you like my card, and that you join in with our fun challenge and the chance to win £20 to spend in the store. Have a wonderful day, and thanks very much for looking

B is for Black and White Besties

Good morning and happy Saturday, welcome to the weekend! I'm really enjoying playing in my small Lost Coast Designs passport journal, and I've made a page for the current challenge which is 'Something Beginning With B'. Here are my black and white best friends (with a doodled border)

This is the inside of the page, I'll be showing the front and back in a few days. I've used the Lost Coast stamps Spike and Lucy and Georges and Louis. I've also been practising my doodling with my white pen.
This was such fun to make, and I hope that you join in too for the chance to win some Lost Coast $'s.
Have a very happy weekend, and thanks very much for looking x

Feel Fabulous

Good morning and happy Tuesday. My friend Kay has chosen the challenge this week at Sunday Postcard Art, and she has picked 'shoes', so here's what I've made.

I must admit I feel a bit of a fraud posting this, as my shoe collection consists of boots for Winter and flip flops for Summer. If it rains in Summer I have a pair of trainers on standby.
I'm also joining in the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge, which is red/white/and or blue.
Have a lovely day, and thanks very much for looking x

I Spy With My Little Eye

.... something beginning with B. No I've not finally cracked, it's just the new challenge over at Lost Coast Designs. So what's beginning with B...

We have some sexy bones...

And a book-end of bones

These have been made with Dancing Skelletons, and Carmen's Veranda Skull and Bones Background.
If you pop on over to the Portal you'll find lots more inspiration, and if you call back here tomorrow I'll show you more of my mini book.
Have a great evening, and thanks very much for looking xx

In An English Country Garden

Good morning and happy Sunday. It's new challenge day over at Country View Crafts, and this time the lovely Jane has chosen 'In The Summer Garden' Here's what I've made.

I started with a Paper Artsy hanger and stencilled through with  texture paste and beaded texture paste. When dry I coloured it with Distress Paints. I also painted some Wendi Vecchi chipboard with the paints. It's been ages since I've used these so it was good to get them out again.

Next I splattered with black and white paint, and drizzled some liquid amber along the stencil lines. This is amazing stuff, it's not too runny that it goes all over the place, but you can guide it.

I added lots of glass beads and Prima Patina pastes to my chipboard.

I love how the fly looks, but it's also kind of freaky!

Here's a close up of the amber and the glass texture gel.
I just assembled it and added some Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers.
It's over to you now, please join in with our challenge and show us your Summer Gardens. As always there's a gift certificate to spend in the store for a lucky winner.
Have a happy Summer, and thanks very much for looking x
