A Votes 4 Women Tag Page

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm sharing a page of my tag book made with the beautiful Votes 4 Women collection from Relatively Thoughtful.

I started by choosing 3 papers and die cutting some tags.
Then I chose some more papers from my scrap box from other collections.
I love how this looks - it's been stamped on the Votes 4 Women paper and then paper pieced with my scraps.
I though my pretty elephant would be just right on the green/grey sheet from the Votes 4 Women collection. I toned it down with a white Stabilo pencil.
For my third tag I stamped directly onto the base tag, and coloured in with Posca pens and Prisma pencils.
This is how they look when they are all put together.
I added a little bit of background stamping on the tags too.
I think this one is really pretty.
And I love how they all look together.
These beautiful collections can be found here in Sally's store.

A Sentimental Birthday

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday. Here is my second card for the Country View Crafts "Be Sentimental" challenge.

I started by inking through a 12x12 Stamperia stencil, then I added some splatters.

Lots of stamping and fussy-cutting later....  This is my favourite "happy birthday" font and the stamp sheet has loads of great sentiments. It doesn't actually have "to" but it it was easy to mask and stamp.

These are the stamp sets that I've used - why limit yourself to one when you can trash your whole craft room???
It took me a few days to make this card as we were having a mega cold snap at the time, and it was 7 degrees in my conservatory one day! As you can imagine I only stayed for a little while at a time!
As always Susan has a fab range of Katzelkraft stamps here in the store.
Have a very happy week whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking xx

Votes 4 Women!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! Today I'm sharing a pinwheel tower card made with the fabulous Votes 4 Women collection from Relatively Thoughtful.

I've used a tutorial by Paul Ford (Papercrafting With Paul). This card is SO easy to make AND it folds flat for postage.

I started by making my base card with some sturdy cardstock to coordinate with the colours in the collection.
Then I cut some panels from the papers and inked and stitched them, together with the 6x4 postcards from the collection.
Now it's just a case of sticking it all together!
I've also added some images from a cut-apart sheet.
These postcards are fabulous!

There is no front and back to these cards so you can really show off the fabulous papers.
This is how it looks from above.

The collection can be found here in Sally's store.

Baby Love!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday! As you may know ('cos I've been telling absolutely everyone 😁) I recently became a grandma. This is the first time I've shared any photos so please be prepared for a total cuteness overload!

I wanted to make a couple of pages for my Jane Austen discbound journal. However I don't have a punch for the pages, and as I'm on a craft spending ban until at least 2030 I won't be getting one anytime soon lol. What I do have however is some insert pages for a Happy Planner, (exactly the same size) so I simply chopped them down and attached my papers to them.
Of course, I had to add some stitching - I think it makes all the difference, and it also ties the black edges to the paler pages. I used papers from one of my favourite Relatively Thoughtful collections, The Magic of Childhood.

I printed out some photos, and also die-cut some baby images. The sentiments are from a cut-apart sheet from the same collection.

I always photograph my layouts before I stick them down, just so I can remember where I put everything - yes I have the memory of a goldfish!
A little bit of matting and layering makes all the difference.
These papers are so beautiful they hardly need any embellishment.
I told you there would be a cuteness overload!

This is how the pages look in the journal. They are so easy to put in and take out - I love them!

The fabulous journal can be found here in the store.

And the papers can be found here.

A Hug In A Mug!

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. It's time for a fun new challenge here at Country View Crafts and this time we want you to"Get Sentimental" and either use a sentiment or some words of inspiration on your project. As anyone who knows me at all well knows, coffee is my greatest inspiration, so here's my first project!

I started by stamping my Katzelkraft mugs, and the coffee rings are a really old Stampotique stamp.

I coloured them in with Prisma pencils and a white gel pen. The Hug In A Mug is part of the same Katzelkraft set.

My fun sentiment is from Carmen's Veranda, and these are words that I live by!

Although I don't use hair curlers, the rest is pretty much me in the morning!

And this is my main stamp set. Susan has a great range of Katzelkraft stamps here in the store.

I'm entering my card into the fun 'food and/or drink challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday

and also Dot's February challenge at Ink Art Designs.

Now it's over to you to join in with our fun challenge! Take care and have a very happy February xx
