I'm A Bright Bird!

The wonderful Kay is our hostess today at Stampotique and she has challenged us to use our 'signature' textured background. For me this means stencils and paste and lots of embossing.

It's been a while since I did a page in my Stampotique chipboard album, so I thought this was a good time.
Fresco paints for the background,
Then some stencilling with Pan Pastels and a bit of stamping. I've used Test Block 3  and embossed.
Next I've stamped Fax To Wolfgang over the flowers, then embossed parts with clear embossing paste, and sprinkled Frantage glass glitter before it dried.
Next came some crackle glaze over the clouds, and my bluebird of happiness (France's Birdy) I may need to apologise to Roc for what I've done to her Flying Bird, but I thought she would look nice in felt (and she feels really nice) :-) The sentiment is part of Maria's Enjoy Today, and it just fitted in nicely.
Finally my black and white frame so that it fitted in with the rest of the album.
Here's how it looks in the book, still got loads to go, but I don't want to rush it.
I hope you will join in with our texture challenge - it's a lot of fun.
I'm also entering this into the PanPastel challenge which is Frame It (I hope my black and white frame counts)
and use a stencil
I hope you like it, and thanks very much for looking x

  2. A perfect example of using lots of texture in your background, yet not allowing it to overpower your images. Well done, Sue!
