Funky Boxes

I ran out of time today so I had to combine a couple of challenges. At Lots to Do the challenge is to make a box, and at Funky Fairy's it's fruits or fruity colours. The papers are from a Funky Fairys download, A Chocolate Christmas, and I've made an ATC and an ATC box. The box embellishment's are plasma pieces from Craftwork Cards, and the background stamps on the ATC are by Sassafrass Lass, and the main image is an Elusive Images one.
Thanks very much for looking.

My Dad's Birthday Card

Here is a card that I've made for my dad's birthday. Luckily he has a good sense of humour , so I think I'll be ok!
This fits in nicely with the challenge at Truely Scrumptious which is a sketch, and My Time To Craft which is 'It's Raining Men.
The papers are from the fab Old Guys Rule range, and the image and sentiment stamps are Murray and Ethel. The actual card is 8x8, so it gave me plenty of room to play with.
I really enjoyed this challenge, and I'm pleased with my dads card (I only hope he is!!)

Thank for looking xx

A is for....Angel

Linda has started a lovely new Alphabet Challenge Blog so in keeping with tradition, the first letter is A. I've made an ATC with my Elusive Images stamp. I seem to be on a roll with actually using my stamps rather than just leaving them uncut in the packaging lol. I've coloured with Cosmic Shimmer and H2O paints.
I'm getting to be a challenge junkie, and it's nice to enter one of someone that you feel you know through Craft Swap Forum. I've also bought some of Linda's fantastic rubber stamps - she has the nicest Mum & Dad stamp I have ever seen!
Have a nice weekend and thanks for looking xx

Spring Is In The Air

As it was Mother's Day today, I managed to sneak away for an hour to make a card. I've had these Elusive Images stamps for quite a while, but they were still sealed in their plastic bag. I seem to be in an inky mood lately, so again no fancy papers or embelishments. Looking at the photograph I notice that I still worship at the alter of wonky cards, but then I think that straight lines are very overrated lol.
I think my card fits in with Hels' challenge at Sunday Stampers which is Diamonds, and also Stamp Something's which is Think Spring.
The background stamp is by Cherry Pie, and has been stamped with a Big and Juicy ink pad. The bird stamp has been inked with an Adirondack which I have had for years and it's still going strong. The quote at the bottom is from Serendipity.
This is the first DL card I've made for ages, and they used to be my favourite. Isn't it strange how things come and go?
Thanks very much for looking xx

Last of The Day

This is one of my favourite Tanda stamps, he comes out of his drawer at least once a month. I've coloured him with embossing inks and UTE. The little lock and key are from a fab shop that I found on't web, and the background stamps are Paper Artsy.
Thanks very much for looking xx

Penny Black Challenge

Who could resist that smile, certainly not me. This is the second stamp that I ever bought, second hand from e-bay. I would hate to have to count up how many I have now (probably enough for a deposit on a small castle) but I still love my Daisy Cat.
I'm in an ATC mood today so here's one for the Penny Black, challenge, which is 'doodles'. Now I'm not a doodler, more a matchstick man sort of gal, so this did not come easy to me.
The sentiment is by Penny Black, and is one of the few wooden backed PB stamps that I own.
The background has been embossed with the new Versamark Champagne ink. I really like this, it gives a lovely golden shimmer.
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking xx

Saturday Workout - Sew an ATC

It's ages since I entered the Sawo challenge but as I got up nice and early, I thought I would give it a go. I'm not sure if this really counts, 'cos on looking at all the other entries the ATC's are totally sewn, (how do they do that??) and mine only has some stitching on it, BUT as it took me ten minutes to even thread the needle, I'm still entering.
My chic lady is a Tim Holtz ATC stamp, and the rather nifty stitching is as good as I get. Yes I can sew on a button but I never advertise this in case anyone takes me up on it! I used to laugh at my mum when she had to ask me to thread her needle but who's laughing now.... actually anyone who can seem me holding it at arms length and squinting. Middle age is a terrible thing.... (so I'm told - I'm only 18, 23 tops, so how would I know) put that mirror away!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking xx

My Time To Craft Challenge - Nature

What idiot took this photograph - oh yeah.... sorry! Well the tag is a little longer than shown, but nothing much happens on the bottom doh!
This is my entry for the My Time to Craft Challenge, which this week is nature. It doesn't show up too well due to the poor photograph, but the yellow and bronze splodgers are stamped in acrylic paint. The main image is an unmounted stamp that I have had for ages, and the quote is a Simple Expressions stamp. It's all been UTE'd and some non matching threads added for contrast. (What this really means is I didn't have any really went, but I hate to see an empty hole in a tag).
Have a good Saturday night, and thanks for looking xx
