Here's a sneaky peak for my card for Creative Studio's.
I must admit I got a bit overexcited when it was shown on Create & Craft lol but I don't care.

Here Comes Summer

It's the fabulous Astrid's turn to host the challenge at Stampotique this week, and she has chosen tags.

This week it's my turn to host the challenge and I ask you to make something
with a tag. For me a tag is just a little playground, it's just for myself. So
make something for you. Be u and have fun with this weeks challenge.

Our challenge this week will be a 2 week challenge which will end on August 6th.

I love making tags so I was very happy to play along.

I started by making my background with PanPastels and a stencil, then stamping over with Vintage Script (just for a change lol)

Whisker Monster and Fiesta were stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils. The paper is Basic Grey and I think it's fab for Summery projects.

We've had some lovely weather for the last three weeks, and hopefully it's on it's way back for the weekend. So it's time to make your tags and come and play along.

I'm also entering my tag into the Pan Pastel challenge, which is Summertime, and Country View Crafts Summer Sizzler.

Clean and Simple for Stampotique

It's the lovely Gez's turn to choose the theme this week at Stampotique and she has gone for Clean and Simple.
Eeek, but a challenge is a challenge and white space can be good...
So we have Beauties stamped directly on the card and coloured with Prisma pencils.
I've stencilled underneath in blue, then just stamped Maria's Enjoy Today over the top.
I'd love to see what you can come up with for our challenge, and remember there are 2 $30 gift certificates up for grabs each month.

Well I'm back from my holidays with a big fat cold bug, and back to work. Still at least the sun is shining :-)

Recycling For Stampotique

Good morning all, though in my case it's still the middle of the night in the (hopefully) sunny USA.
The wonderful Sam (and Poppy) has chosen recycling as the challenge this week at Stampotique.

This started life as a boring old cork mat that had been living in the loft for years (Neil is a worse hoarder than I am lol) I used a technique that Darcy showed us a little while ago, I loved it the first time I tried it, so wanted to have another go!

Some Fresco paints scraped over the top.

Then some Colourwash spray through a stencil.

Topped off with another layer of white paint.
Then the fun part, lots of stamping.

I've used 
Vintage Script
Journey Collage
Spiralling Out Of Control
and stamped straight onto the mat with Versafine.
Flamingo has been stamped onto sticky backed canvas and coloured with Distress Markers. A couple of coats of matte medium to seal it all, and we're all done.
This was great fun to make, thank you very much Sam.
