Everything Tim

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday. The challenge this month at Country View Crafts has been chosen by Craftyfield, and it's Inspired By Tim Holtz. For me Tim has been a great inspiration, he's shown that it doesn't have to be all about cutting and sticking, and that it's OK to be a bit different. He may be the King of Grunge, but he also has some very pretty images, and today I've gone with the pretties.

This is one of my very favourite stamps sets, and I wanted to stamp it in pinks, but it's for my Mum, and she likes blue, so blues it was.

These are the colours of Distress Ink that I'll be using.

A nice inky spritzed background - I love the Blueprint Sketch, very subtle NOT!

Just ready for some stamping. I've used Papillon, and Halftone and Rings

And cut through with the Mixed Media set.

The large background stamp has been stamped with the same Distress Inks, unusual for me as I usually reach for the black.

Another die cut now, the coloured butterflies are on a piece of left over alcohol inked glossy card - never throw anything away lol. The die is the Detailed Butterfly set.

These look really nice when stacked together.
What, you think the embellishments may have been used before - how very dare you ;-)

I stamped the butterflies in black for placement, then added some Remnant Rubs to fill a gap up.

Then I stamped the butterflies again onto vellum, and embossed in white. The sentiment is from my favourite Simple Sayings set.

This is going straight into my suitcase 'cos we're going away on Saturday to sunny (or maybe) rainy Spain.

I hope you join in with our challenge, remember there's £20.00 to spend in the shop for the random winner.  Have a great day, and thanks very much for looking xx
