99 Red Balloons Go By

Hi, and happy Wednesday. It's time for me to share my 2nd 'numbers' creation for Country View Crafts. As I'm very old, this is a blast from the past.

I cut a piece of watercolour paper to 8x8 then applied gesso through a cloud stencil. Next I did a colour wash with Aqua Tints, then stencilled my little girl with an old black inkpad.
Then I cut out lots and lots and lots (99 to be exact, and yes I was exact) different sized red balloons. I must admit they didn't all make it here so I have a little collection of hearts for next time.
Here's a stuffed felt one.
The words have been cut out of felt with the Tim Holtz Word Play die, and the streamers are quilling papers.
This is one of the rare occasions when what I have in my head is pretty much what comes out on paper.
There's lots of time for you to join in our challenge, so please play along.
Hope you like it, and thanks very much for looking x

  7. Wow - I'm seriously impressed that you cut 99 balloons (though I'm not counting to check up on you...) - and it's a beautiful background too. Love the little girl and loved that song - so I'm enjoying this blast from the past a lot.
