I'm Late....

No time to say hello goodbye I'm late, I'm late I'm late....
No surprises there then. Here's my entry for this weeks PaperArtsy challenge  inspired by Gillian.
I really liked her bloom board and wanted to make my own, despite not being able to find my PA postcards (they are in a very safe place somewhere!!) So I turned to my bag of 'don't need now but too nice to throw away' bits, and came up with these.

A few coats of Fresco's later and I had this.
I then stamped Darcy's heart border around the edges and painted with a mixture of London Bus and Blood Orange. I stamped her large heart onto the board, and twice onto some fabric.
I stuffed it with a bit of cotton wool and hand stitched. I will never make a plastic surgeon lol.
Follow Your Heart is also one of Darcy's stamps, and the metallic heart came from the pound shop and has been Treasure Golded with a touch of Rub n Buff. I really enjoyed making this, I sat and messed about with it for hours, and me doing hand sewing - unheard of.
Need to hit the send button, hope you like it and thanks very much for looking xx
I'll be blog visiting tonight - Top Gear is back so no-one in our house will notice that I'm missing :-) xx

  2. Fabulous use of your left over saved bits, they made for a great textural background. the fabric heart is wonderful. if you like messing with fabric try stamping onto velvet.

Ink up your stamp, lay it face up. Put your velvet over the stamp so the velvety side is touching the ink. then be very careful not to move it but press it down with a medium heat iron. Hold it securely in place and it kind of debosses the velvet and the ink is transferred.

  10. I ADORE Top Gear' it's me that likes cars, watches F1 & Motorcycles & other speedy sports in my house. It's fun to craft along too lol...

Must admit have been pondering what other crafters do with all the Tags etc they make. So, even though your tags are beautiful i like you are using them for your project. Would like to know what you are going to do with this.. Will you carry on cutting it up to use on other projects or will you gift this? Have always been intrigued to know, hope you don't mind me asking.

I adore your page, fab use of Darcy's stamps, the hearts are great so is your stitching! :-) xxx
