Here's a card that I made for the Let's Ink It Up challenge which is 'stitching' either real or faux. Well as you can see I am indeed a very tallented sewer as I am able to make any stitch over half an inch long - none of that delicate stuff for me! :o)
Thing is I need a needle the size of a small planet for me to be able to thread it/see it/find where I left it stuck in the sofa!
The DP is some that I've had for a couple of years, but it's so nice I havn't been able to cut into it. My Tim Holtz Vogue lady is stamped onto an original paper pattern from 1980 something - thanks Mum for not throwing ANYTHING away.
The die is Tims and I've cut it in kraft card, then stuck on a layer of pink paper, then stamped Vogue again on tissue and stuck on top to add some texture. The 2/6 is an alphabet set from MSE, and the 'beauty' stamp is from Rubbadubadoo.
Thanks very much for looking, and for me the weekend starts now, so have a very happy Easter x

ReplyDeleteOoh Sue your comment from yesterday has completely made my week, thank you sew much!
ReplyDeleteYou can sew too, it's perfect Tim Holtz grungy sewing ;-)
AND It's a lovely card!
I bought that dress die cutter too, but I bought it online with only a small picture to look at, and I didn't realise that it is not symmetrical...which is a bit of an issue for me as I'm usually fanatically symmetrical in my crafting, so I'm going to have to loosen up a bit(I think that is the polite way of saying it). Is there a twelve step programme for this do you think?
